Just got back from this, and I loved it. Liked all the main five or six characters we get given, which actually kind of sucked as you pretty much know how it's going to end for all of them. Some nice little fan service moments in there that weren't just shoved down your throat for the sake of it.

It is basically a fan film with a Hollywood budget.

I thought it was brilliant because it embodied everything that made me fall in love with Star Wars as a 4 year old.

But yeah - enjoyable film from someone not into the mythos.

Meh.

I found the space dogfight dragged on unnecessarily, when the important things were happening on the planet's surface.

But the film was better than I thought it would be.
