So who are we chasing for 2019?

I'd love to see cotric in a red V, but it's an unrealistic dream. Even if the Raiders don't throw the chequebook at him, there will be plenty of other clubs in the running for him.

I also think his future will be at fullback, and dufty looks to have sewn up the fullback role for at least the next few years.

He could be a specialist winger like Bmoz, I just wonder what kind of money he will want. He is gonna be a rich 19 year old.

Like others I think a prop. With LAM going we will lack punch off the bench. We saw that last night without LAM. I was pleased with Lawrie but it will be a lot for him to fill LAM's impact next year. Latimore has been a surprise but he is one paced and slow around the ruck late in his stint on the field.

We have enough young backs to cover ourselves. Buy another back then if I was one of these young blokes, I'd leave as soon as I could to get a go at first grade. Unless it was a Cotric I think any back purchase would be counterproductive. Buying BMoz would be ridiculous decision.

Yeap agree Frank I think lomax will be a centre one day and Aiken will be a back rower.
I think Aitken looks more suited to the backrow and that is where he played most of his juniors. But his lack of size goes against him. I can't see him shifting either Frizell or Sims from their positions and I think Host looks like a better edge forward prospect than Aitken.

I agree that Canberra will want to keep Cotric and many other clubs would be in the running for his signature, if he was to be off contract, but I would also hope that we were one of the clubs in the running for his signature. I would love a center pairing of Lomax and Cotric, with Dufty at fullback. I actually hadn't given any thought to the idea of signing Cotric, but now that Smack mentions it, I think it would be a great idea.

I am pretty sure that Cotric was playing centre before playing first grade. I think that is where his future lies. If Canberra want to keep him, then they may have to get rid of either Croker or Leilua.

Cotric is no chance. If he leaves Canberra you know he will be going to the Roosters. Just sayin'. But really he'll probably be their fullback now Wighton's future is in the air.

We should be concentrating on our own young emerging outside backs, starting with Lomax.

As for recruits, whoever can replace Ah Mau

Wow, someone else recognises the deficiencies of Latimore. Sorry to be on his back but he must be replaced if we are to improve our bench impact.

Watching the ISP we have enough outside backs and don't need to look outside our own backyard.
Lomax / Masters / Herbert if we retain him are all capable of taking the spot that should be vacated by the retirement of Nightingale.
I think we only need a prop to replace LAM.

Aitken will probably be in the backrow eventually but a lot would need to happen that it won't be any time soon. At the moment he's in contention for an Origin centre spot now and our edge forwards are also Origin players, so until that changes at least then things will stay as they are. Lomax needs to be in first grade before he is going to take over a centre spot, he should be able to become a starter on the wing quickly as long as the coach doesn't stick with Mann.
