"That's not a forward pass you clown!"

Like I said, just because they try to pass it back doesn't make it not a forward pass.

Do you give try's for trying to ground the ball but losing it? Is it a tackle if you try to tackle someone but miss?

It's no different to trying to throw the ball back but having it go forward
Learn the rules, dopey.

I've seen plenty of times when people run and throw the ball backwards. Momentum is just an excuse

No your eyes tricked you into believing it went backwards because both players hold position but unless the receiver literally stops dead the ball has travelled forward no ?

Mate it's like how the knock on rule is policed. If you drop the ball straight down but not forward, you'd expect the refs to pull it up. They have a split second to determine it so they will go by whether it looks dodgy or not. They're not fugging calculating the angle of hands, speed of the passer and wind direction and speed. Get a grip.

Let's be honest here. If that was Cameron Smith who passed that ball, this thread would be completely different.

The touchie just made an error on the call. It was of no consequence. It was still an error because it went backwards out of his hand.

As i said if the ball "travelling forward" is an issue than 99 percent of passes are forward.

The touchies need to watch the players hands

Haha you're embarrassing yourself again Dave. Enjoy mediocrity if you're happy with a five eighth who can't spin it wide from right to left.

I am officially triggered by The_Shield and myrrh ken's understanding of forward passes.

Knowing the rules and knowing how the refs will interpret them are 2 different things. Yes it was fine under the rules. Yes there is a chance the ref will pull those up 50% of the time. Why chance it?

It was a legit pass, and a good one at that.

It's not the reason we lost though. Multiple incorrect penalties against us was. That first one where Hodgson gave away a penalty goal was awful. The Wighton binning was also disgusting.

The Wighton binning was legit as f**k. Straight up professional foul. As deliberate as they come.

Your team lost because they weren't good enough to win it.

Unfortunately this is 100% correct
We lacked the polish that comes with experience
Cronk and Smith's big game experience and just knowing the right play at the right time was the difference
