Hurricanes vs Pioneers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mH_AQ3ljWAc
Thanks for the link Romeo, great viewing! Some great tries especially those at 26min, 52.15min, 1hr.16min.45 and 1hr.23min.55.
There's some good athletes in the Hurricanes side and once they learn the nuances of the game of Rugby League, there's going to be some serious talent come out of Jamaica in the future.
no probs...Please share some of the nuances of rugby league that they need to learn...
Teaching lines to run and teaching line speed in defense are the next logical steps for most developing nations, including the usa.
One thing that frustrates me watching USA domestic matches is the amount of dummy half runs.
One thing I have difficulty in getting through to union converts is the fact that we only need to complete the set. They seem to want the big runs. They are nice, but not always necessary. Once they get that concept, things start falling in line.
This is exactly the problem I have teaching oztag to union stalwarts - the endless need to score of every play. We rarely get to the 4th tag let alone a full set. If you have any tips for teaching this concept I'm all ears because I have told them so many times but it just doesn't sink in.

Valid observation. Based on what I know and see, I'd say its a function of play collapsing for a second and the dummy half just trying to make something happen.
The nuances of the game that players learn by playing years of rugby league, skills that become second nature like the ability of drawing a man in attack, the art of straightening up the attack, running good lines in attack, proper defence technique, etc, etc. My comment was not intended to offend the players.
Union players chucking that ball all over the place on 1st tackle is one my biggest pet peeves and every team deals with it lol.
