Did we even ask? Anyway we should go for Kingston now
I doubt it. We were too slow. It seems the Dragons football department are under the same delusion indicated in jenninga's post ^ above. Our only hope is that the 2015 coach is appointed quickly

See how Rein goes under different tutelage and if he is still lagging behind, go hard for McCullough or Jake Friend. Or if Garvey gets back in the good books, give him a run. Don't go chasing past it players near retirement.

Friend keeps on improving.

As if McCullough and Friend are going anywhere...

I am only suggesting Kingston because we could probably sign him on a one year deal and that would give us time until Garvey is ready or we find someone else. I am not suggesting someone like Ennis who will want two years minimum on good money.

Kingston is underrated IMO. Sure, hes not an elite hooker but hes got all the basics nailed down (little things like quick, accurate service), hes strong in defense and doesnt get dominated, and best of all is the fact that he is a leader. Would be a good mentor for Garvey, Pumpini and Rein.

Wouldn't be too disappointed if we got him for cheap on a 1 year deal.

Well we've missed one of these already. Api Koroisau apparently linking with Penrith next year. The Panthers, who mind you have James Segeyaro already, wisely strengthening this key area. We should have been all over that

Koroisai has just signed with Penrith...Got to admire their recruitment.

Gould + Cleary = intelligence
Koroisai = future star, very slick service from dummy half. already at a young age knows when to pass, when to run...

Jamie Buhrer.

Quality 13\9, plays hooker until Garvey is ready. Dean Young like.

Not that we'll get him.

Probably not. But we could in the process bump their asking prices up putting salary cap pressure on both both the roosters and broncos. Never hurts to ask.

He is exactly the type of player we would go for, average.

He is a lock and not a hooker so we don't need him, but you don't know a good player when you see one; he has been super for Manly this year. High work rate, footwork, speed, ball skills, and one of the best hole runners in the game.
