Hasler was a good coach at Manly because he's taller than Toovey, anyone watching the little bloke in trainer's jacket herding the team around the field like a good sheep dog would know who was doing the coaching. Hasler and Ennis however had no choice but to play the game the way they did, no-one is giving them credit for staying in the game as long as they did

It all comes back to the referee. Penalise Ennis when he slaps Reynolds in the face and tell him to go away, as per the rules, when he calls the referee out for a chat after a penalty and the problem is solved.

Just like wrestling, what Ennis does needs a stronger message. Some infringement penalties must be regarded as obligatory not discretionary. Players won't purposely do something where there is no leeway

I dunno if the Doggies are grubbier then other teams but i do know that there the most boring team in the history of the NRL to watch,Doggies boring style would turn Jesus Christ himself into a serial killer,thats how boring they are.
