This is the whole point, if the drugs were legal (like they should be) then most of the risk is gone. People should be able to do what they like with themselves.

Given his prior playing weight, discipline issues and being out of the game for five years, I thought I'd never see Wicks in an NRL game again.

I'm all for live and let live, but out of curiosity, do the people that defend recreational drug taking (anything from weed to pingas to meth) plan on encouraging such behaviour when they have kids, or would suggest it to younger brothers/nephews/cousins?

my point being; for most people its just a 'phase' that ranges from ages 16 to their mid 20s and then they wake up and want to grow up. As a early 20s male I don't understand the appeal to recreational drugs, not the cost, not the effect, not the risk.

before you ask I barely drink alcohol and certainly don't drink it to get blind and spew in a bucket in the early hours of the morning.
