How is there not a single Cowboy on that list? Not one.

Off the top of my head...

Shannon Hegarty
Michael Bani
Scott Minto
Sione Faumuina
Arana Taumata (I assume he played for us at some point)
Shannon McDonnell
Antonio Kaufusi
Clint Greenshields
Scott Moore

I'm sure there are many many more too.

Chris Thorman, really? He had one full season of ESL experience when he moved to the Eels, played his first few NRL matches in a position he never played before or since and then if I remember rightly had a pretty decent run in the side towards the end of the season when he was given a chance in his natural position. Plenty of worse English signings than him, Richie Mathers and Jordan Tansey to name two.

Juniorburger played for the Cowgirls? When? Are you sure you don't mean Shannan Gallant (Mighty Mouse?)

Eels have 8 of the top 50.... think they went easy on us, could have included Chris Walker in addition to his stint with Souths, plus Chris Hicks, Paul Whatuira, Jordan Atkins and the Tonga brothers...

How about "Ka-Plop" Chrissy Sandplop?

I thought that was a pretty ploppy purchase.

lol, Tomkins is nowhere near the worst ever signing. Overpaid for what he delivered sure, but there are countless big names signed every year for a final payout before retiring who deliver far less. Just look at any Eels side...

Scott Moore was terrible. Took forever to pass the ball out of dummy half and still managed to throw it forward.

Hegarty was awful. Bani is still worse

manese manuokafoa

Could throw weights around in the gym with ease but an absolute powder puff. Similar to carl webb but you'd actually notice webb on the field (albeit after a stupid offload that led to a turnover or a penalty within the first set of him coming on the field) but with manese you did not notice him at all. Brett firman bent the line back more then him

Also, I don't always watch a lot of Warriors games, but was Tomkins really THAT bad?
I know he started off his NZ stint pretty poorly, but he did get better. I remember quite a few games where he played very well (I guess a lot of those were against the woeful Eels though).

I just find it hard to believe that he was a worse signing than Sandow, Dykes or Blair.
I suppose he was on more money than those blokes though.

He definitely shouldn't be #1 but deserves to be on the list somewhere. Was nowhere near worth the money he was paid. His form in the middle and back end of last year was actually quite good though.

Berrigan should be nowhere near this list and Moon was a solid centre for us. Todd Lowrie's the guy that should be there. He and Neilsen were signed on the "plays for Melbourne, must be good" theory.

A guy the Broncos released today should make the list. James Gavet.

Played game 1 this year where the Donkeys got flogged by Souths. Did his ACL in training the next week. Not seen again all season. Released from last year of his contract. That's a pretty poor signing in my book.

Why would you pick on a guy for being injured?

A bit harsh on Tahu - he didn't set the world on fire initially, but I thought he was starting to find his feet before a season ending injury around May/June, and then going back to Newcastle. He will always be remembered for that hit on Bryan Norrie.

Strange that he was the only Penrith player on that list... no Brett Firman?
Could have made a top 10 list with just Knights players.

Luke Walsh
Clint Newton
Cameron Ciraldo
Wes Naiqama
Brad Tighe
Brendan Worth
Adam Woolnough
Kevin Naiqama

Ok struggling to round out a top 10. Could throw in guys like Sam Anderson and Will Smith, but neither was a first grader prior to coming here. Timana Tahu is another but he wasn't that bad and played elsehwere first.

Still. We seem to end up with the Knights rejects and they tend to prove why they were rejects.
