Yeah 100% agree.

The 5's issues won't be solved in a week unless they fall on their swords.

This is the NRL doing the right thing by the fans by increasing the likelihood they will be playing for points from next week onwards.

Honestly, the fact they haven't already done so shows how arrogant they are
I remember Bob Hagan in 2002 quit almost immediately.

The NRL is doing the right thing letting Parra play for points with those 5 still around.

It is exceedingly generous but the NRL, but I am glad they are doing it.

If any Parra fans are defending the 5, I am not sure why they are doing that, their club would be better off without them.

I don't know what people are worried about.

The infamous 5 will have their day in court that's all.

Parramatta still lose the points they have so far accumulated.

Their season is all but finished.

lol so it's gone from slap on the wrist to tap on the wrist.
Again, Melb, Dogs etc fans must be shaking their heads.

I have a feeling the "reprieve" the 5 board members have received is more a legal issue.

I'd imagine that the NRL would ensure every decision they make, has been scrutinised. I'd take a guess that once the injunction is lifted after the matter is heard & a judgement made in the Supreme Court, we'd see the NRL act.

I don't get why anyone is treating this as a big deal. Parra were always playing for points until the penalty was finalised. All I can see this doing is f**king up Parra's season completely when the officials are finally deregistered as they will have no chance of being able to make the 8 because there won't be enough rounds left to get the required points.

The NRL keep doing all they can to help them - they gave them multiple opportunities to come clean for a light penalty and get their house back in order, they are fast tracking an application to retire Watmough to get them back under the cap. But they have 5 officials trying to save their own jobs and putting themselves before the club

The NRL have no balls. No wonder our game is constantly mocked.

Might as well have no salary cap or not punish the Eels at all.

Disgusting.

Should change the title of this post to 'd-day for the NRL'

why ?

It's interesting that you seem more worried about the treatment from the NRL rather than the people from your club which got you into this mess.

When caught, defiance is the only way to react for some people.

It is a deflection of shame, a social survival mechanism if you will.
