comparing how TNF looked on 502 v 504.. im surprised we got within 100k of the AFL...

it honestly looked like the NBA v NBL... and im not talking about quality of the games, just the periphial viewing.. empty stands on a chopped up field that adele screwed, and the lights looked dim..

240k for Sydney seems really low, the NRL have really f**ked up here
They have gone to fox, simulcast games are way up on last year. It's Nines problem, the NRL are still getting at least the same total ratings, just across more platforms.

he's a f**king tosser and wouldn't know if a dog was up him

spends all day whinging about crowds when he's never attended one game in his entire life

should have been drowned at birth
Dunno about drowning, but might of been dropped on his head a few times.

FTR the Swans averaged 44k on FTA in Sydney last year.

stick this up ya clacker Cumberland Tossoff http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/fa...s/news-story/5fff1d4e62a5aaf6250b80d6e12c5d29

GWS enjoyed a historic win over Sydney Swans but only 63,000 people in Sydney watched it, just 1.3 per cent of the metropolitan area’s 4.6 million population.

The GWS-Swans game attracted 20,000 viewers on Fox Sports and another 43,000 on 7Mate.

the two Sydney teams playing each other couldn't get your mythical 120k in Sydney on FTA and Fox combined

yep ... v low swans get 120k fta in syd... we used to get 450k

The games are Simulcasts on Fox, that's why the metro ave for sydney has dropped. The Pubs club i visit all have it on Fox and just 2 years ago it would have been C9 and not in HD either.

The Overall Ratings for the NRL are rising.

120k on FTA was for a finals series game, wanna know how the storm went for ratings in Melbourne during finals?

Sat TV #NRLFinals#NRLStormRaiders Nine 771k (Syd 330k Mel 188k Bri 253k) Gem 30k (Ade 11k Per 19k) Reg 476k FoxSports 400k 1.677m

Get that into ya... hahaha

Even if the nrl just plonked a team in Perth and Adelaide, I reckon the eyeballs watching would be enough.

Sydney teams watching an away game would be enough but you'd soon grow ade Perth eyes and crowds.

724K for the NRL last night ... still waiting for pay figures
might get to 1 mill ...

the AFL featuring their premiers & their biggest club 859K
so they'll beat us
but not by much

I feel like we used to win the ratings more consistently than we do now. Either way ratings for the NRL are still strong. It's mainly just poor Sydney figures holding us back. If we could turn that around we would beat the AFL easily.

yeah theres something desperately wrong in Sydney
with crowds
with ratings
with the general engagment with the game & I haven't seen it this bad since 1997 & we know what the problem was then.

Sydney isn't the heartland it was at NRL level and definitely doesn't deserved to be called HQ

Not sure how many times it has to be said, the majority of fox league subscribers come from Sydney, simulcast games have gone up 30%+ on last year alone. The NRL isn't losing eyeballs in Sydney, Nine is, to fox.

Nine may get ~200k in Sydney, and fox may get another ~100-150k in Sydney, whereas before simulcasting Nine would have got the whole 300-350k in Sydney.
