Mundine is a try hard Mohamed Ali. That is why he converted to Islam, just like Ali did. That is why he began taking himself up as the best rugby league player in the game, that is what Ali did. Then Mundine has tried be like Mohamed talking himself up as a boxer and bringing race and social issues, etc into it too, Ali did exactly the same thing. Mundine actually once said that he was THE GREATEST athlete in the world. lol
That's crazy. Jarryd knows he is!

Strong early carries coming out of his own back half. Rewarded with a sensational try in the 12th minute when leaping over Jordan Kahu. A rock in defence to continually thwart Kiwis’ left edge attack. Head clash with Dragons teammate Russell Packer in the 47th minute ended his night, and was easily heading for a rating of 10-10

With and against the very best, not worth $1M? Bullshit he isn't. Give him the money already and sign him up.

This injury may very well cost Dugan a contract with the Dragons. Now there is a legitimate reason to play Field at fullback and you can be sure that if he does well, he will stay there for the rest of the season. It will then be Dugan at right centre for 750k or gone.

He had a good game at centre. He is worth 750k to 800k. Wake up man.

If Millward withdraws the offer to Dugan and then signs Packer, Dugan will be in a position to either comeback and accept 750k or move on. To tell you the truth, I'd rather Milne at 300k than Dugan at 750k.

Imagine marshall and duges reuniting for redcliffe in qld cup. They might win a premiership that way.

He will get his 1m. Means he will be worth it then your nightmare can begin.

If the Dragons give Dugan a million then they haven't learnt a thing.

Of course he would look good playing centre surrounded by other internationals.

He is not worth a million dollars and never has been.

I don't understand your logic. If the Dragons sign Packer, there will not be 1m left in the cap. If they also sign Lafai, then there will not even be 750k left in the cap.

Millward caved in to sign Widdop and as the manager is the same as Dugan's and Packer's, he feels like he has the wood on Millward. My point is that if Packer is signed now, no longer is 1m available and the manager knows this. So there it ends, sign for 750k or move Dugan on to another Club.

Widdop is getting less then Moses so caving in as you put it not as bad as it could have been.

Most of what you have said is based off assumed contract worth and how much salary cap is available which i see no point in doing as you wouldn't know like i wouldn't know.

Packer wants to stay he has said as much so yes Dugan has to be sorted out i agree with you on that but no point throwing up figures that may or may not be close to the real figure.

Agree , I have never said that Dugan is not a very good player and versatile that he can play fullback , centre & winger .In my opinion the Fullback game has passed him by. That's not to say that he doesn't do a good job for us there but we now have rocking forwards laying the platform for our play makers & future play makers to shine and we need something different from our number 1.. Dugan by any stretch of the imagination is not a play maker and therefore not worth ( in my opinion ) even 750k. Even as a running back has to be prepared to pass the ball to a teammate in a better position to score. Dugan's ( like Aitkin ) first instinct is to run first then think about passing it and still run again.

The domino effect in paying him 'what he wants " will have a bearing on the teams make up and again , in my opinion only , it is not worth it. Our fall back position should we be not confident there is someone in the club to take over next year is we can offer a outside player a contract. We should get a pretty good fullback for 600k plus.

It's funny how some people pick and choose to suit their argument. I believe Widdop got 850k p/a. up from 650k.

Anyway that does not really matter all that much. Tell me, why do you think a player manager wants Dugan's contract sorted before his other client - Packer?

The fact is the club has offered 2 very fair offers ...they aint stupid. But both players rate themselves more $$. The market will take care of it. The Main thing is we dont become like the swans and overpay a player like they are over paying franklin and live to regret it. Accept our decent offers or move on. We cannot overpay and have no money for depth. It happened to the rabbits when they overpaid sam burgess ...and lost Ben Teo and others. They have been useless ever since. Not us thankyou.

Exactly DP . The people saying pay dugan a million are most likey in a financial mess in their lives. You have to manage what you have and not put too many eggs in one basket. Yes....we would get a good replacement for 600k plus. Time to put the argument to bed and let it pan out.
