Arrogant? From what I’ve heard he’s far from arrogant. He just runs a tight discipline ship. I don’t believe the story that Peter Tunks is trying to start, he’s taken a comment that Sauce made about being upset that the Panthers have signed a pest and he refused to have a locker next to him and twisted it.

Sauce speaks very highly for Hook and the staff at the Panthers. He may well be shopping around for a better contract, but I highly doubt it’s anything nasty.

Was it Mansour making a joke? Sounds like it to me but that could be a generational thing.

This might just be a rumour, but so was the story about TMM and another players wife and apparently so were the stories about Moylan and his rift with Griffin and yet both those players are gone. Until Josh Mansour comes out and says its bullshit I will be worried, if the club denies it then its almost certainly true.

Thats a load of half truths and/or poor decisions. When you have 2x NRL quality players in a position and lose both with 6 to 12 months you're doing something wrong.

Letting Segeyaro go would have been fine... had we not let Korisau go mid contract.

Likewise TMM and Moylan. We released our backup half despite the player we were backing being a gamble (both in a new position and apparently unhappy)

Theres a lot more players than the ones you named. Not all are losses. But between the likes of Coote, Jennings, Grant, Civoniceva, Burns, Walsh, K Naiqama etc. We have had a high turnover from the second Gus arrived.

Some were guys he was stuck with. Then you have rushed decisions to sign players like Burns and Walsh to new contracts, bringing players like Kev Naiqama, Api Korisau etc. In and then changing his mind on these players well and truly before their contracts end.

Getting rid of some players was a good move... but when we have pushed out this many players theres deadset something wrong.

Im not saying the players had no fault in this. But deadset look at all the players released early since Gus arrived and tell me he hasn't got some sort of issue with managing players aswell. Again.. the players arent all innovent here. But so many people here are refusing to accept Gus holds asny responsibility at all for it.

They defend everything he does including lying to us.

Its fine to say should of kept, but it means someone in current squad wouldnt be there. If lewis stayed perhaps Yeo isnt there etc..... Then the fans wine about loosing a talented junior.

I have to say that I'm warming quite nicely to Maloney's imminent move to the foot of the mountains.

As I said in a previous post, it's not as if we're replacing Moylan with a 'Will Smith' type player. We're gaining a playmaker that is a proven match winner, premiership winner and current Australian representative.

The positives far outstrip the negatives IMHO

Will Smith actually did a neat job at the eels

You are talking like these are planned decisions, they are not. They are off the cuff. Api was contracted, maybe it would of cost us Wallace or Seggy or Sowie to keep him, we released two of those players halfway through the next season.

To have TMM and Moylan on the books last season and neither of them this season is such woeful squad management its ridiculous people are trying to absolve gould and the club of any blame.
Keep Api and let go of Wallace, simple. We had both Moylan and TMM on the books this year, keep one of them ffs. Its like Gould cant wait to release a player once he has spotted another 18-20yo who can almost do the job for half the price.

This was my point and I got told to support another club.

How is clearys 5 year bargain basement extension going? Gould was pumping that up last year what happened?

Well shortly after all the Moylan stuff happened. Could be completely false but I wouldn't be surprised if Gus wanted space to offer Cleary more room for his chin.

MX as you will read shortly my tounge in cheek post was a gee up purely designed for one reason. I achieved my goal and am basking in the glow. The ever so smug silly billy took the bait hook line and sinker.

I wonder how, in your head, you think this post makes you sound? Because this is without doubt the saddest, most pathetic post I have ever seen on these boards. Not just in the Panthers forum, but any of them. You crow that you don’t respect me; ever stop to wonder why on God’s green earth I would want the respect of someone like you?

If ANYONE believes some horse shit story about Mansour being upset about signing Maloney & a locker, then you are more stupid than the peanut that wrote it...

He was interviewed on the Grill Team and had nothing but praise for him...

Seriously, wake the f**k up.

Ya'll can listen to the interview here

https://www.triplem.com.au/shows/th...ill-probably-be-positioned-right-next-to-mine

Sounded like a generic interview to me. I don't believe he's upset at the Maloney thing though. Maybe losing Moylan.

Some people have their heads in the sand or are just brainwashed by the aura of Gould it seems.

Or making the finals 2 years in arow. Now actually adding an experienced Rep half has kept people's intrest.

Moylan's manager said he staying himself yet here we are he is gone

Did it?

Of course he isn't .. I'm sure he is upset Moylan is leaving, but in every interview i have heard from him, he has said you roll with the teams direction and get on with it.

Before the WC last Sat Ch7 did a Mansour story. He was hugging Hook post game.

I can't find the online version but the Western Weekender who is usually pretty spot on with Panthers story's said Senior players were pissed at Moylan and led the push to get rid of him.

Mansour may or may not be part of that. I am sure he will be filled soon enough

I'd love to read that article if you have it. Interesting if it's true the players wanted him out. That would change my perspective drastically.
