Rabbitohs rumours, signings, injuries etc

That’s definitely a valid point but I think our team is weakened by having 2 hookers in the squad. If Farah does play it has to as number 9 or a bench lock or something. But does that mean that we drop a player like Turner or Nicholls? I just don’t see where he fits into the starting 17. I think it would be a mistake to play him.

One hooker, either Cook or Farah would have to play another position.

I actually thought cook went well at fullback and might go well on the wing but I honestly think he’s a better hooker than Farah. Farah might be able to be a ball playing lock and give Murray a break. But i don’t think it’s worth it to play him in first grade unless injuries occur. We will have to suffer through paying 600k to a bears player just like we had 1 million sitting on the sidelines last season.

Why dies Farah have to play first grade if Cook is a better hooker? Question works in reverse. Pick one & move on.

There is also a young bloke that could pass both of them in time.

Are you referring to Britain? I’ve heard he has bucketloads of talent but his size really holds him back.

10 years ago Farah was a champ. Now Cook is ahead of him. Simple.

That would be a sizable chunk of the cap playing at norths if Farah is left out.
Not if he’s not in the 30 and never chosen in a Souths side. Crowe could pay him out to be his pool boy. Just saying
I don't think it's that simple just to pay him out, it's still included in the cap isn't it?

I assume that it it’s just what a reporter has heard from a someone inside the club then? It’s funny how these things escalate so quickly. I do hope it’s true. AJ gets so much more involved from the fullback position.

I like that team as well. I think Nicholls might be in the starting 17 though. Same as Graham. Jennings has a bunch of natural talent but I think he plays his best footy in the centres. Graham seems much more suited to the wing. Unless Gagai shifts to the wing and Jennings moves to centre.

As for Nicholls I don’t think he’s made the jump to play for the bears. Apparently he’s one of the fittest players in the squad. I think he will be in the starting 17 somewhere. It’ll probably be for Musgrove. Whilst he is a great young talent I can’t see Turner, George or Tom being dropped.
You could well be right about Nicholls, I've never really seen him play but he could be a very solid option.

If he's better than an in form Dave Tyrrell (which some people have said he's way better) then he'll most likely be right up there in the mix. He played NINE GAMES for the Storm in 2017, now that's decent.

Hell yes I am. Pretty disappointed the membership doesn’t cover it but I’m still going. I’ve never seen a super league team live before and I’m quite excited. They seem to be getting much better every year. Australia only just scraped past England in the last World Cup as well.

Yeah I think he’s a player that wants to prove his an NRL player. That’s exactly why he made the move. I don’t think his pay is better and I don’t think he moved here because of the housing prices. If he can crack into the Melbourne 17 he’s already a massive improvement on Rochow who I thought was actually okay.

As for Graham I can’t look past someone who was in the emerging blues camp. I think that’s just going to elevate him to another level in 2018. Jennings has a lot of potential I totally get that but he’ll be first up if one of our centres gets injured I reckon.
I'm real excited about the Wigan trial too, even if you're not going, who isn't? I think that we are going to get it televised in NZ so I'm so pumped. In fact, I think both our trial games are being televised over here and that has never happened before.

I'm leaning towards Graham atm as well but I think it'll all depend on Pre-Season form at training and during the trials.

On another note, I just don't think Farah fits into the starting 17 tbh.

Farah is over the hill & yet he must still be in with a show to get the hooker's job!

If we have an ACHILLE'S HEEL the most likely spot is No.9!!

I see this as a weakness!

Yes, that's the bloke. Elias wasn't any bigger yet played for the Blues & Australia. Size for a hooker? Luke?

Are you sure about this? Britain has an extra 2 inches on Luke yet is still 9kg smaller. I mean I’m not one that judges players on size but even Cook is 6kg larger standing at practically the same height. I’m just repeating what I’ve heard anyway. I hope he’s as good as people say. Whilst I rate cook as a hooker we always need a succession plan.
