Anthony Griffin

What evidence do you have that his game plans are any more complicated than that? Everything we have seen and heard including his own words support run hard tackle hard game plan.

His plan didn't change going from Brisbane to Penrith, two completely different playing groups and the best for them to play was the same.

Surely you can't hide such things. No way Gus hires him if the above was the extent of the gameplan in Brisbane

Even I agree with this. His gameplans were awful but not to this level

Besides no grubbers what else do you think would be in an Anthony griffin game plan?

No doubt he expanded on those basics during the week at training but the guy had a one track mind when it comes to RL, what else do you guys think Hook would be writing down on paper as part of the plan?

We didn't even interview him.

Yes but Gus said he did he research. Asked a few guys at the Broncos...He works with Lockyer. A 10 word game plan would of come up surely.

Maybe it is the plan with us who knows. It wouldn't of been the case before Gus is too smart for that

his relationship with Gus is probably a factor in his demise
The only one. He had 58% win rate at a club that was 43% historically when he arrived. In professional sport, winning = success. That is why all this other bullshit about losing the dressing room and not getting along with people and now game plans has been confected, because he was successful based on results and everyone in the game knows this.

Expecting to hear he grabbed one of the cheerleaders on the bum next.

Winning grand finals is successful.

Being a fringe top 8 side is not. Its a ridiculously low bar where being worse than 5 or 6 teams is considered successful. Even moreso when you don't care about being a legitimate threat to do more than that.

I'm happy to say he should get a go at a few clubs which would suit him right now due to his strengths as a coach but to say his relationship with Gus is the only reason is demonstrably false.

Looking at that game plan, I can't for the life of me understand why we a so bad at discipline - I mean, it's written right there!

#HookDidNothingWrong

Seriously though, his approach to the game is a slight step up from what part-time/dad coaches of young players usually do (i.e. give it to the biggest guy on the field as much as possible). The type of "coaching" that has ruined a lot of young players because they are coached to just use their size and speed and are never asked to develop any type of game awareness or ball skills. You can kind of see that in our side at the moment - full of natural athletes who do a lot of dumb shit. Griffin's game plan works if you have a stacked squad who can just steamroll the opposition - as soon as you meet a team with parity in terms of size and aggression, then tactics and patience become vital. We don't have that.

I guess it is no coincidence that Griffin has never beaten Bellamy.

Yet Ivan is preferred coach going forward.

You are delusional mate. You flat out refuse to believe anything you don't like. If he were as good as his win rate he will have no trouble finding an NRL job next year, lets see what happens.

I actually saw it last week and mentioned in this thread last Friday that the club were leaking it on purpose.
Why would they do that? To make him look like an incompetent? Why would they want to make him look bad? Because they are getting torn to shreds for sacking a coach with a 58% win rate and in the running to win the premiership, with four games left.

The more you dig, the deeper the hole gets. Once again, feeding the hand that bites them.

You are delusional mate.

You can call it that. I call it having a bullshit meter that is reading off the scale.

They did it because he took credit for rebuilding the the junior pathways and rubbished the work everyone else had done before he arrived.

You seriously are losing the plot.
