You’re talking like they signed him when he was some kid who no one knew. He was an Origin player, other clubs wanted him, he chose to resign with his current club. If he stayed for less how is that the clubs fault?

The Knights haven't spoken to him directly. Clearly it's happened indirectly though which is much of a muchness. But that's answering your question.

As to your question about Ponga. There is every chance that happens. But unlike Klemmer he has an incentivised contract and I'm betting one pegged to a percentage of the salary cap wherever that goes. That is what managers do for a player.

It sound a bit over to me but it’s the one position the Knights are crying out for quality so makes sense. IMO Brown has been fairly spot on with his signings so far so would be happy to back his judgement

Knights have hinted on Twitter that it's actually a re-signing... thus proving they are about as media savvy as a deformed peanut. It'll either be Fitzgibbon or Buhrer.

And you’d know this from your years of running the finances at the Bulldogs? I don’t know how much Klemmer is on, and im guessing neither do you.

Fair enough he might think he’s worth more, but he probably should have signed a contract to that effect.
