Is it though? Is THAT really the thing you turn up to see?

"Just look at these amazing athletes. Blowing out their knees, destroying their ankles, ending their careers at 23 like absolute gladiators. I know some whimps would rather watch them play for the full season, but us REAL fans love seeing them dramatically fall over in backplay and get stretchered off to the hospital. That is RL at its finest..."

If THAT is the thing that draws you to RL, im glad youre not in charge. Jeez...

Well I’m not turning up to see people who are afraid of dangerous grass.

How do you know the investigation is complete?
You will have to trust me I’m not giving my source away.

It’s oretty damn obvious though given SF had been terminated based on emails found months ago during the investigation.

It’s done and the penalty is clearly delayed for whatever reason.

Assuming you're correct (not doubting your source) they may be deliberating on punishments etc. But I don't know that the action against Flanno can be correlated to suggest the investigation had finished at that point.

If it indeed has concluded as you say, then it does seem odd they're waiting, if I'm in the NRL's shoes I want it done and out of the way well before pre-season games are happening etc.

They've been investigating since what, May 2018? I know there would be a lot of info but f**k how many man hours do you pump in, especially considering how thinly stretched an NRL Integrity Unit would be? They'll need an army of investors after this off season. Expect penalties sometime between June 2019 and October 2023.

My memory may fail me but last time they waited until about a week before the season started to hand out the punishment in what seemed an effort to derail their season before it even started.

As in distance or emotionally?

Distance, it was right in front of me and I swear I could hear the crack! Was weird as it took a few seconds for it register with him then the pain and anguish on his face was something I wont forget ever. Thankfully after this they dug the pitch up and improved drainage and relaid it with much better turf.

They're not thinly stretched, they get a massive chunk of the games money every year, they are probably stretching it out to justify their existence!

I think they'll wait for a full week without someone fingering their date on WhatsApp before dropping the hammer
