29 is what teams need by round 1. I have us at 25 atm.
We have 23 under contract, but that includes May. So realistically 22.
So are you counting Crichton and Burton as being upgraded in your 25, or new signings?

Rugby Union is the rumour Rebels in MelbourneSolomone Kara has quit Storm saying another option has come up for him to explore next year....could it be at the Panthers???
We had zero first grade hookers and now we do. We are ahead no matter what in 2020I know there is going to be a lot of player movement but I seriously doubt there has been any method in the madness which has seen us allow a lot of players to leave without any apparent strategy around who we are going to bring in. I understand we will bring in players but I seriously doubt whether they will be any better that those who have been allowed to leave. I wish I could be more optimistic but there is nothing that fill’s me with any hope. Under this current regime we are in big trouble. I understand there will be some that lay the blame at Gus Gould but I don’t accept that. As it stands now I would have preferred to keep the same roster that was cap compliant in 2020 as opposed to where we are now.

IMO we let him go because he's not going to be a leader of our forwards. With the coin he's reportedly on you need to be at either a leader or exceptionally talented, preferably both. Unfortunately RCG is neither.I wouldn’t read too much into the demeanour of RCG.
He is a different sort of guy.
I agree he has not been great for us since his we’ll documented injuries but give we are contributing towards his salary with the Eels I’m not sure why we have let him leave,
Why not just keep him it is not as if we are going to bring in anyone better.
Panther Mick has been keeping score.
I would say 25 is right at this stage.

Too many holes in the roster as it was. Needed to free up space
I agree with you, not that Glenn was going to be a long term good signing, but looks like he is staying at the Broncs https://www.zerotackle.com/report-g...KluuDVTcWGErTPmXyo0umggdwSagI1SH4uYqGXhgFH0wUThere even more holes now. Minimum $500K of our cap subsidising the wages of DWZ, Blake and RCG for at least 2020 and probably longer in respect of DWZ & Blake.
It will be interesting to see who we bring because I can't help but feeling we may be a little underwhelmed.

Personally, I’d rather sign no one then be under whelmed.

You know you are struggling to recruit players when Alex Glenn turns you down.
Franklin reckons Walker was coming only for him to stay with Manly on a 1 year deal.
The only signing we have made is Api, thanks to Barrett.
I am just wondering the way Ivan left the Tigers in dishonour last year has made us a no go area unless utterly desperate.
Ivan's lack of success is hardly a draw card for a player seeking success and improvement in his game.
