The guy’s a winner, not a believer in fairytale bulldust. If someone said to me that I could play with Cooper Cronk or Luke Brooks/Benji Marshall I’d be choosing Copper Cronk every day of the week.
https://www.nrl.com/stats/players/?competition=111&season=2019&stat=35. This year Cooper Cronk 10 try assists from 22 games in 26th position ....Benji Marshall 17 try assists from 19 games in 5th position ...That’s a no Brainer....But yes I get your point just the wrong example ..you can leave Brooke’s in there though...

yeah you all bag Russell Packer for being lazy yet he only missed 8 tackles in 6 games and made 100+ metres twice

see what I did there with stats

I saw those and other stats on Packer they looked pretty good .I think he has more supporters than u think ...I just think some are louder than others on one side and others just give up trying on the other coz they’re sick of fighting...If it was just his form he would have been given another shot ..I would at least have given him another shot..This is a small concern I have with Madge..and why we need to leave his resigning for another year just to see if some of these potential hazards explode in the perfect storm...esp with some bigger names with bigger opinions and egos that may join us over the next 12 months

Your not alone though theres plenty of Anti Benji people out there ..I’m not fazed about it ...Its just part of the deal when supporting the God otherwise known as Benji ...It wouldnt matter if he was number one in try assists they would still want him gone...Although looking at the number of games he played the players he played with and the fact he didn’t play finals his placings for try assists would be near the top if not at the top..it doesn’t matter though Benji would have to fart competition points to be liked by them

This is completely irrational bullshit. He would have been set with us financially. If we had retained him we would have been able to build a better team and I think do better than 9.

Irrational is playing for a underachieving team, which is a mess in the front office and on field.

Uncle Nick has set him up for life / premiership / dally m winner  as others have said, the roosters is his childhood team. I don't understand the issue. He always tried for us (never threw a game like that flop Moses), he finished his contract and if he underperformed you guys will be the first to call for him to be culled...

I love the tigers but you gotta be pragmatic... It's a business and you gotta look after yourself. The NRL isn't some side show anymore it's actually a business that is worth a few billion..

. All the reasons are in the spleen venting I stumbled on today in the “All will be forgiven” thread page 4 ..Most of it makes sense and explains a lot of the deep angst that’s not going away anytime soon ...All except the comments from guess who which are just as startling as usual .I wasn’t around when it all went down so I’m only going on what I read ...and obviously don’t feel as strongly about it........I think most of us have left a job for a better one .The stress involved is massive and the words spoken are never complimentary about the place we left ...I remember always trying to justify why I left to other people and maybe to myself as well...It sounds like Tadesco was the least offensive of the 3 that left ..I think a 10 year older Tadesco may have used different words after he left...but at the same time we don’t know what’s been said to him ...but anyway shit who cares fans will be fans

Oh look I have no love for the bloke, he shit on his team mates on the way out, and continually stabs at the club. At the end of the day he has the last laugh, there's not much you can do but move on from it.

His snide quips annoy me too but, let's face it, we were all rubbing our hands together with glee and relishing in shadenfraude when he dropped the ball with the line wide open against us last season (some absolute legend even went and stuck a picture of it on his front door). That's likely just the tip of the iceberg compared to what he copped from us fans.
They're professionals but they're not robots; we can't really expect to dish it out without copping something back from time to time.

At the end of the day, he's having the last laugh so I'm not so sure he's quite sad about the entire situation

Pro footballers learn at a very early age that it’s all about me. You learn you have to push yourself to the front of the line even if it means walking over your mates. Teddy is no1 in the game because he got unbelievable skills but he is also ruthless and was willing to walk away from his mates and go to the best team....for a lot of money.

Of course there are plenty who put the club and there mates first but that quality is disappearing fast

This is complete and utter bullshit and all I can say is I'm glad I'll never do business with you or in fact have any relationship with someone with no integrity like yourself.

Honestly maybe because I'm not a loser I don't think the way a bunch of you think. I was bought up in a good family and money and fame is not the be all and end all of life. In fact since I have enough money (I'm also cheap so I don't need a lot of money) I'm good. Fame or public recognition is meaningless to me.

Money and fame are meaningless to me. If those things drive you then I think you are a weak merkin.

My take is that it's not business and you just have to look after yourself. It's life and you have to live with integrity. Don't desire bullshit that is outside of your control, live within your means and be a man. Alternatively be a loser like Turdesco and I assume the posters who stick up for him who can't get a decent woman and struggle in life.

Maybe. I think he is a merkin and he has embarrassed himself. I don't think he is having the last laugh but I guess that is how you judge life.

Is this really good ? Is this to be respected ?

My take is that people who do the right thing in life are always going to die a lot happier than a loser merkin like Teddy.

If you respect a merkin like Teddy I reckon you are a loser.

If Johnathan Thurston had the same pissweak mentality the Cowboys would have never won a premiership nor would he have been not only a future immortal but a legend for the North Coast region FOR EVER FOR HIS FAIRYTALE!
Paul Gallen .... Sharks fans will love him FOREVER as well for his FAIRYTALE .
The turd ... just another player chasing easy trophies... well done.

Forget it 05.. seems the game and morals we believe have past us by.
I can certainly understand money ..but like you I'm old school. He was looked after very well at the club and was going into the future. His decision was weak and self centered, unfortunately that's a generational thing these days.

You'd think fans would have a set of nuts but no. Whatever. Don't expect me to buy into the line that it's all about money and fame.

The Turd would have been just fine staying with us. I feel the same way with Matterson the merkin. In some ways I want these guys to go. If you are that much of a merkin just go.

Let's wait and see but you see the Turbo boys who seem to come from a good family and want to stay at their junior club. Are they going to lose money and chances to go to a souless team like the rorters - yes. Will they be happier for it in the long run - yes.
