I believe they have returned to us from the Warriors and are no longer on loan. The Warriors game V the Dogs was the last for them.
But named in this week's team

Really? Was certain they said in the ABC coverage over the weekend that they were heading back to the Eels after the Dogs game... My badBut named in this week's team
Thank goodness, they could of done serious damage against us in a couple of weeks.I believe they have returned to us from the Warriors and are no longer on loan. The Warriors game V the Dogs was the last for them.

Hayne's win rate at fullback is f**king atrocious.
This doesn't need explaining but he was in terrible teams in an era when great teams were around. He wasn't a leader (atually he was probably a negative in terms of influence on team) but he was a great player. He and Kenny are our best attackers ever.
Great post. Hayne was the best player I’ve ever seen and I’m starting to go off BA again. So you're the guy who keeps harping on that you can't have million dollar superstar players in your roster because you then will probably end up with a whole bunch of nuffies around him but then you insinuate that he was a shit player. So what is it? Either he was shit and not worth it or his team mates let him down?
As for him being a lazy player. I call bullshit on that. If you look at all the stats over every season that he was with us before his American holiday, he was right up there in the top 3 or so of all fullback on every stat and leading some catagories. That is not a lazy player. That is a myth that many seem to hold over him, but I suppose if your name is Jarryd Hayne and you aren't scoring 90m tries and setting up 4 or 5 a game, well then you are lazy.
By the way, your argument doesn't hold water because well run clubs like the Storm and Roosters blow that argument out of the water. It all depends on how good your coach is at firstly attacting and recruiting quality players at the right price to surround those elite superstars and then how good he is at bringing the best out of them. And also developing the juniors at your club to always have quality coming through at initially cheap prices. Which is what the best 2 clubs have been doing for years and maybe Penrith is on their way to joining them.
We are doing catchup at the moment. We are almost there, but I don't think our coach can get the boys to the next level to become winners. I believe we will see that in the end we will have to bring in a proven quality coach that knows how to win a premiership.
I would go further and say Hayne is our most talented ever player. But his involvement was too low for a modern fullback. It left a fair sized hole in our attack, which was hidden by his high impact when he did get the ball.
He was an absolutely amazing player, but there was no right position for him. He was probably best on the wing, but then his playmaking was wasted.
And yet never poached by a genuine title contender. There is strong evidence the bloke was a toxic influence.
And as I said, involvement too low for a conventional fullback. It's a position that requires an endurance athlete to provide full service. Otherwise it's just a roaming winger.
In terms of raw ability, Hayne was the best player Parramatta has ever produced, imo - kick, pass, run, tackle...he could do it all.
But in a professional league, with a salary cap, I would take Gutherson over him; I'm well aware that he is nowhere near as talented, but Gutherson provides in areas that Hayne struggled in (leadership, involvement), costs a lot less (allowing us to spend cap money in other areas), and (while not being in the same league as Hayne) Gutherson is still a very skilful fullback.
I know it's controversial, but there you go.
I love Gutherson and he is my current favorite player, but I would take Hayne every single time. Are you kidding me? Hayne at the back of this team?
He would do things that we and the world would just marvel at and be in total awe of. He is probably watching Parra play now a days, especially with the exra space out there now(six again) and wishing that he had played in such a strong Parra team. It would be like 09 over and over again.
Put Gutho in some of those lousy Parra teams that Hayne had to play in and see what he would have been able to achieve. Remember when Gutho first came to Parra and played in our then shit teams. Hardly a whimper at times. He is a great player Gutho, but he can't influence a team much when they are playing crap. Hayne could and did time and time again and so under appreciated for it.

I know you are the ultimate swinger, but if we make the prelim final and lose in a close one to the eventual premiers, will you be off BA?Great post. Hayne was the best player I’ve ever seen and I’m starting to go off BA again.
