Contracts are nothing more than an agreed remuneration. A handshake is worth less.

I warned about keeping Barret on. He did it before to Penrith.

Yep I was with you .They did not want yo upset the balance of the team. But he was always working behind the scenes and so he should be .This is his last shot at head coach if he fails. But in our favour Staines stayed yeo has come out in the press and said he wants to stay

The lack of re-signing announcements has me concerned. I am worried all of our good players will follow Barrett.
That's the purpose of this media clickbait campaign. Actually, our nervousness is a bonus for the journos. The main aim is to suck in the Dogs fans. And judging by the commotion over at the Kennel, it's working a treat. I'm sure some of them expected an announcement at 12:05 am yesterday - JAC and Burton all wrapped up in a pretty bow. All this based on the same "information" we read.

No JAC for doggies, he is staying at the storm to see put his contract, besides he just won a GF, why would you move unless your retiring, plus magories chance on Burton, the panthers just won everything this year bar the GF, why (other than stressful overpriced income) would you leave a club that is going supernova North, to get headlined every week as a failure at a club going South coz your paypacket is more than what you can acheive with that roster,.... seriously ring Ben hunt or anthony milford and see if they want to sign that same milion dollar contract again... money is not everything, burto has to know this, a good education at a prospering club first then you'll demand it when you are worth it, i reckon burton will name his price in about 3 Years

He took no one of note last time. Literally our discards
Brown and Api weren't discards. Api leaving was the beginning of our long run of Hookers. Brown got offered a tonne of money that Penrith wouldn't match.

I looked it up and found Isaac John even went with him. He was our half. Nothing memorable and didn't play a single game for them but still a first grade player Barrett took with him.

JAC wanted to move to be with his family, maybe that’s changed but that was his motivation.

We picked Seg over Api and that was the right move at the time.

So it seems Mansour is very likely gone, been a great servant to the club, will always be a Panthers legend.

I wonder the merits of swapping the wings next year? Play To’o on the left and Staines on the right. Might provide us a little more strike on the right hand side. Not that To’o isn’t a good finisher, but Staines has that extra pace, meaning he can score from further out.

Those of us who have followed the club knew this was on the cards, especially when Charlie Staines re-signed.

Sadly Father time is standing next to Josh demanding that he step aside.

Clubs who would be interested probably those without strength in their backline.

Would not shock if Josh moved over to super league.

He's been a wonderful servant to the club.

Disappointed we didn't give this guy the premiership he deserves. He has had an outstanding season compared to what most of thought he was capable of giving.

Deserves a big contract elsewhere at least. And a job at Penrith when he is done playing football.

Crichton was involved in a finals series right up to the end, and immediately went into Origin camp. I wouldn't worry too much.

We had time before to re-sign players.
