It doesn't matter who you select where cos they will still be under the dubious guidance of a coach of such abject intransigence and stupidity.

I don't expect us to win or contest a GF every year - or even make the eight every year - but I think I have a right to expect a certain standard of performance and to go into games thinking that we are a chance of winning, not just be an aimless rabble, filling in time between the first whistle and the last. Part of me wonders whether you can keep blaming the coaches - maybe we have just recruited the wrong players. Either way we are a clusterf*ck and it's not going to get better overnight.
Just blame everyone I say. Several of the new guys are trying very hard and doing their best, the older ones like Hunt and McCullough are too slow and look so clumsy and not giving any real direction in attack. Hunt must have lost his tongue during the off season because he is saying nothing on the field as the captain to get the players to fire and blow them up when they make mistakes, although who has a go at him when he makes mistakes which he did a trillion of tonight?

Clueless, Rudderless Circus...no structure, no game plan no shape and to be honest noone knows what the other team members are doing.....they look totally devoid of ideas...support play ceases to exist, the forwards take the ball flat footed, our kicking game is rubbish.....its amazing how the new boys S'uA, Molo and Suli busted their arses and ar least looked to get us going with determined runs whilst some of our old boys looked as though it was their first game

I would be quite radical for next week
Sloan
Rava
Amone
Suli
Feagai
Mybe
Sullivan
Burgess
Hunt
Molo
De Belin
Sua
Lomax

Moose
Woods
Bird
Moga
Dont think its radical OT......looks very positive to me......I know most of the so called experts say Hunts been our best player of late and to a point I would agree.....but imo he looks all over the place in the half back role at present ......and for mine would be a better fit for the team in the hooking role

This team is so shit that as soon as there is a mistake near their line, you know the other team will score
Like clockwork. Too bad picking the winning numbers in Powerball isn't like knowing what happens near our line after we make a mistake. It happens so often. The ref should just call try without it happening hahaha!

Been following the Red V for over 64 years but have to admit its almost the case of that'll do me......whilst never complacent at the start of the season I entertained the idea that we could make the 8 .... with the new boys on board the young kids coming through and Hooks 2nd year with a new roster it appeared there were positive times ahead......but affer tonights effort (or lack thereof) we are miles behind the better sides.....imo Souths were very very ordinary but still we struggled......anyhow as they say theres always next week, but having said that unless theres major changes in the team sheet or players attitude and performance expect much the same

listening to jack bird on abc radio after the game, i dont think he wants to play 5/8 either and was complaining about how they trained in the off season and now ts all different, said he didnt know what hook was planning for next week maybe he would be on the wing, not impressed i think along with the rest of the team
Hook has lost the players for sure. Hook needs to stick to our original starting team we had in game 1 which I think Bird is referring to but with Sullivan, Moose and Burgess in. We need - (1) Sloan in every game, we need (6) Amone in every game, we need (7) Sullivan in every game now that he is back and we need (9) Hunt in every game from now on. Burgess in the 17 and Moose as well. Mbye to stay as the specialist bin player and Bird in the second row. Stick to this team because nothing to lose and will give the spine plenty of time to work their combinations together.

So disappointed with the mistakes we made - just too many. The team just has no cohesion and they are just not working as a team. Hook is not the answer at all and we have him until the end of 2023. I might have to give footy a miss until then.

All our plays are off hunt. Every team knows where he is is where the ball is going. Slow service from DH and we are already on the backfoot With the defence in our face. Hook now needs to think what’s best for the team not where the players want to play. Hunt to hooker bring in the kids yeh they may be a bit raw but plan A isn’t working. I like Hook but I’m thinking the game has gone past him. Bring in Ryles or Flanagan like him or hate him he is a ruthless operator which we need.

Let me start by saying I only saw the last 7 minutes & reading the comments on here I didn’t miss much.

Why are people calling on & picking Sullivan for next week’s game when he hasn’t played a game for six months because of his injuries.

They lack heart , commitment and a true on field leader . Griffin is a coach who has had considerable experience and success - to a degree with former clubs - should be able to get this team sorted out , but alas even the magic wands of Bellamy , Bennett or Robinson could not cure this mob of misfits .

Hi All agree with all the sentiments.

I have nothing against Zac. He occasionally does something good but is simply an ordinary player. I believe he actually thinks he is a class player. I have been posting how ordinary he is for years. I used to get howled down but rarely now. Gitano has been spot on for years. Funny how he and Blake Lawrie were yukking it up on TV, no respect / discretion for the coach, club and former player ( one who had scored try’s at Billy Slaters strike rate for 4 years in a struggling team). Zac and Blake to be replaced by Matt Feagai and Josh McGuire. Who will have shots at goal I don’t know.
Amone hasn’t shown much in my opinion. Don’t get your hopes up. He looks slow to me. Sloan back in and maybe to 5/8 his best position.
