What game situation is there going to be this week to justify Jakes selection.

Does BA seriously think we are going to be in front by 20 with 5 mins to go. To being jake on to trigger another match payment.

There should be no situation this week that JA should be on the field. It will be a fight to the death game for 80 mins.

Melbourne don't roll over like a Brisbane do.

We need to be able to fill every position incase of injury. With Marata we can cover centre, prop, 2nd row.

Makatao can only cover prop same as Kafusi

Bryce could cover edge,Lock and not so great at 5/8if desperate.

Pensini maybe could cover wing if had too.

If Mahoney goes down can JA cover hooker? If the answer is YES then not a bad choice. But if that's the case the kid should of been spending time there in NSW cup.

Perham seems a good choice. Can cover 1,3,5,6 but does BA trust him. He was garbage on the wing.

Rein can cover one position only. So fair enough not to pick him.

Yates and Hands would be good picks. But are either ready?


If we lost someone on the wing we are most vulnerable. And same goes for our no 9.

When N.Brown is back I do hope he is in for Makatoa. JA as much as he isn't ready probably means if there is an injury he can cover better then anyone else we have. As much as Perham has more talent he also seems like a f**king rabbit that could make huge mistakes.

if he rolls with ja in the semis (I’m assuming he does) then he’s a bigger pelican we’re giving him credit for.

In a sudden death semi if we lost Moses or Mahoney we need cover. Unsure what we should do. But being the no 14/ utility doesn't need game time and is just insurance prob no point rolling with 4 forward tbh. Even though I would like N.Brown and Cartwright on bench.

JA isn't ready. But he showed against Manly he is a cool customer and can read the game well. If we where ahead with 25 to go in a semi and lost Moses to a HIA for 15 mins I feel he could execute the game plan atleast.
I'm more pissed with Makatoas selection. The guys a plodder.

I think BA has proven himself to be a pelican.

Deep down I think this way always plan. When it shouldn't have been.

All credit he has earned with the majority of fans over dealing with the salary cap saga is long gone.

BA's legacy if we fail to win a comp under him will be his stubbornness in finding a way to pick his son who clearly wasn't up for first grade at the time.

It's no coincidence the tide has really turn against him ever since Jake has been getting picked regularly especially off the bench.
