The dolphins have to find a way to get some of that money
Ala just like the sharks do.... hahaha ha they both own their own ground, they can use their own personal wealth and upgrade as they see fit... getting a bit sick of hearing govt needs to pay for upgrades of stadia...
Yes it should be done but it doesn't mean govt needs to do it... maybe make an incentive for clubs to do it, if govt gets them a percentage off a certian stadium supplier that way it not totally govt funded and in the end owned and run... if you're going to own your own ground don't expect hand outs on upgrades to the existing stadium... if its training facilities etc fair enough, but privately own stadium is BS

panthers leagues club has 300 million in assets and are building a hotel

Yet your ok with your club getting a tax payer funded 400 million stadium which will only have one tenant ?

Queensland labor government and their union mates have been exposed by News Ltd that spending $2.5b for 8000 extra seats at the Gabba. Talk of a new stadium at Albion, Doomben or renovation of QE2 (Broncos old stadium).
Can’t see Doonben getting up unless Racing QLD is compensated with a new track, probably out west & Albion is being used as a sports precinct during the Olympics. Hopefully Perry Park at Bowen Hills or something close to Coorparoo could be built & the Western Stadium at Suncorp pulled down to increase capacity to over 60k
PVL's mate Gil is stepping down as AFL boss end of the year and will soon after be appointed as the 2032 Games CEO. There is still much wheeling and dealing for be done for Games funding, stadiums, etc., which is why they want Gil. Interesting time ahead.

They don't own their own stadium, so i am ok with it... but if they decided against building it keeping the current one wouldn't bother me, there's nothing wrong with it.. maybe add seating to the family hill instead of grass/mud...
I get the govts reasoning regarding stadia, and looking to invest in the future... but they need to fix WIN for the dragons, and Homebush for Dogs/Tigers and thats it really..
Penrith as is, Sharks and Phins should fix their own... and maybe get GIO a roof

GIO needs to have something to keep the elements out. It’s funny people talking about the engineering/construction of the stadium in Townsville and it’s perfect for the conditions. You’d think that of any place that needed to be fully enclosed it would be Canberra rather than the wind tunnel they got.

WIN is also a good call. That needs to be fixed up so that the Dragons can play more games there hopefully

Been saying it for years... 9/3 split between WIN and SFS would sort them out for life even a 8/4 split, and they'd be no need for a "southern" joint stadium which none of either the dragons or sharks want... plus sharks owning shark park, makes any of that irrelevant.. fix WIN and invest in the illawarra area, coz sharks have taken over both sutherland and bay areas already... not saying they need to drop kogarah all together, but use it as much as dogs use belmore... one off heritage games

Dragons need to become a Wollongong side and tigers a Campbeltown side

like you said 2 games in Sydney at allianz (easts and souths)
Nope, NEVER EVER use up a home game and gift it to your opponent crowd advantage..... dragons if ever used SFS as a home game should play the Sharks, Manly and Parra... dogs save for kogarah... any and all interstate team at WIN
Souths and Rorters should play dragons there for thier home ganes and have the redV locals show up as the away crowd

If your the dragons at SFS you need to be seen as the home team... you play bunnies or rorters that destroys that... its akin to tigers at bankwest vs eels

Dragons already rotate the Anzac Day game ?

giving up home ground advantage to two games to get a sellout sounds like good business to me

The Storm will return to Docklands next year for 2 home games while AAMI Park is unavailable for the Women's Soccer World Cup according to their CEO
