Don't forget the "all Storm players fall away when they leave them" brigade. There was some regular footy experts in here suggesting we over paid.
Myth blown.

Can we find out for the shits and giggles who votes for each player for each round.
It legit wasEasiest draws in history. Hahaha . Yeah ok bud.
It legit was
Sharks being a top 8 team themselves could play a max of 16 games against bottom 8 sides meaning 8 games against top 8 sides minimum. The Broncos capitulation saved them from actually having the mathematical easiest draw there is as raiders finishing 8th meant the sharks only played 15 games against the bottom 8 (14 games against the bottom 7). The finals proved that both the Sharks and cowboys finishing position was inflated by an easier draw compared to the rest of the top 8, it is no fluke that in 3 finals game between them the only win came against each other.
Anyways, Nicho still deserves his medal for being consistently the best player in a winning side.
To a degree, but you can only beat who you are up again. The so called easy draw at the start of the year might be a tough draw. Who had the Cowboys finishing second pre season for instance? This notion of soft and tough draws are weird, especially this year when it's Penrith...huge gap....the rest.
Also injuries have played a part. Penrith, for example, whilst they have had some injuries, have not had the number of season ending or long term injuries in the quantities that teams like the Roosters or the Rabbitohs (for example) have had. So things like that have an input too.
maybe those teams finished 1,3,4,6,7 and 9 because they only played the Sharkies onceYou only played the teams that finished 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9th once. It wasn't deliberately set up to give you an easy draw, but you got one. No amount of butthurt changes that.
Isn't that how Tiger Woods was perceived up until about 5 years ago?Dunno if Nicho deserved the Dally M but he's a very genuine and humble fella.
Possibly the lowest paid (relative to salary cap) Dally M winner in two decades? There was some regular footy experts in here suggesting we over paid.
5 years ago, what cave you been living in ?Isn't that how Tiger Woods was perceived up until about 5 years ago?
People pick and chose their agenda and it makes them look stupid. To a degree, but you can only beat who you are up again. The so called easy draw at the start of the year might be a tough draw. Add Manly in there for twice as well, all finalists from last year played twice this year.People pick and chose their agenda and it makes them look stupid.
Beginning of the season we had the Titans and Knights twice. And playing Cowboys would have been seen as an easy game .
A few years ago when we scraped into the 8 people were complaining that we didn't play many teams from last years top 8, this year they complain it's this years top 8.
Which is it? lol

Whoever looks at the previous years results to assess a draw at the conclusion of the following season is an idiot.People pick and chose their agenda and it makes them look stupid.

I'm gathering you aren't aware of the previous two years where the narrative about the Sharks was that they were not beating any top 8 sides? And they were including the top 8 teams from the previous year. Why would last year's results impact on whether they were good teams this year?
Penrith were far and away the best team. Sharks are the only top 8 team to not play them twice. Sounds like a massive benefit.
The Sharks first played the Titans in round 11 when they had 3 wins and were sitting in 14th place. Nobody thought they were a good team.
Manly were clearly not the same team as last year
Having to play the sharks twice didn't impact on their position. The fact that they were shit teams is what decided their position.

This is why Tiger Shark brought it up. Now they have beaten top 8 sides this year the narrative changes to any easy draw.
Hence why last years top 8 teams were brought up.
Get it?

In 2021 they did slightly better with a 2-8 record against top 8 sides, one of which was Penrith where I assume they rested all their players.
