It might be true that people can follow more than 1 sport. I don't mind AFL but I much prefer League.
League has 8 games every week..
I never get to watch them all, so there's no chance I'm squeezing in a game of AFL.
That's the same for AFL fans which is 95% of west Australians. While they might appreciate League and might even attend some games if they got a brand new shiny teams but after the shine where's off the most they'll manage is checking the results.
It will hardly register a blip on ratings and crowds will dwindle. All at a very expensive cost to every other club in the NRL.

First of all that is a massive exaggeration. (95%?) Please point me to where you have figured out such a percentage.

Secondly, let’s say 5% of West Australians intently follow a Perth side. That’s more than enough to sustain a side. That’s surely achievable.

Lastly, any option for the next side, unless you go with a cowardly option and stick another Queensland or NSW side in is going to be a niche offering. You go to NZ for example and you’re up against union who have more money and support than league has in that country. It’s essentially the same thing.

It’s more like one percent of the population if you are looking at successful expansion sides like the swans

maybe 2 percent being generous

A successful expansion side doesn’t suit their agenda I’m afraid.
I think every single Rugby league fan is happy that the Storm were a success and would be happy if a Perth team were.
But the fact is that a Perth team have already been abandoned and the Western force were cut in 2017 sighting financial reasons.
Weather or not you or Perthy want to admit it, Perth is a major risk.
We can't guarantee thier success at all!
Melbourne is a very cool international world class city a short flight from Sydney and Brisbane. Attracting talent isn't hard.
Attracting players to Perth... a major concern! And if they're not successful on the pitch, they will be a disaster in ratings, a disaster in attendance and a financial disaster.

Major risk.

And they could weaken the storm

both clubs will be looking for the scraps other teams miss

This is beautiful. You guys collaborate so well. Endless streams of negativity and focus on failure. Come on give us more reasons. Please. so melbourne is going under because of a Perth NRL team? That’s be your dream. Difference between you and me is I believe in our game. You are just a bunch of snivelling cowards.

Fear of their club going under I'd say.

My club got killed off during super league

since then I became a rugby league fan instead as opposed to just a one club fan whose only interested in his own selfish interests rather than the game lol

You really underestimate the AFL .
That is an exciting sport with extremely passionate fans! You you might get 1 in a hundred to come over to league. A Perth team will be relying on the expat community and only the ones from Brisbane , Sydney and 1 expat from the North of England...
Union have anyone who went to University and maybe we could pull some of those 🤷‍♂️
Fact is Rugby League will only ever be a very small niche sport in the most isolated city in the world.
A massive drain financially, a massive drain on our talent pool and massive drain on the energy of every individual that will have to make the journey or relocate there.

A lot doesn't stact up. That's just a fact.

You don’t need a club in Perth if you are a league fan

buy a fox or kayo subscription
When I lived in Perth I watched more games because the time difference meant they weren't on too late.
Perth is very spread out, even with a decent following they could still struggle for crowds.

I live in an afl state.
And I’ve managed a comp in that environment.
As for the rest of your post. Standard negative drivel from a bloke who doesn’t believe in his own sport.
