He has been brilliant in 2023. Deserved 4 tonight.

Its him or Wesser for mine. Maybe some others with more experience can throw some other names in the discussion.

Wesser was our best over a 2 year period.

But Edwards in terms of defence...attack consistency has been the best ever

His work in D is fantastic. Wesser a bit underrated there, not a turnstile. He scraped quite a bit at fullback.

Different teams too. We are such a well oiled machine. 03-04 was a very different team in a different era.

I disagree. Wesser dis not have the all round game that Edwards has. Much better positional player in both attack, defence, and support play.

Rhys Wesser was more of an out and out attacking star and was brilliant in 2003 in particular, but Dylan more consistent in the defensive aspects of the game, yet Dylan can attack too as his 4 tries tonight shows.

To think just a few years ago Dylan was down on confidence and people questioned his place in the team... He benefits from playing in a two time premiership winning team but he's also been a very integral part of that.

Most doubted him. He's work ethic made me believe he was always a genuine star.

Stupid thing is he's still soo underrated and we'll resign him for 300k unders

Where was Dylan tonight for that first Sea Eagles try? Shocking, almost Latrell stuff nowhere to be seen.

Two entirely different players, different eras, different sides.

Both supreme talents but in different ways.

I personally love both.

It’s a shame Dylan is in this era where all the love is for Trell, Turbo, Tedesco, Paps and Walsh. This last three and a bit seasons he has been consistently better than all of them without exception. He’s never gonna get the love just the way it is.
