Probably the biggest thing for me is he epitomises the success hard work can bring.

He is the perfect role model for kids coming through at panthers.

Not the most talented or athletically gifted bloke but the hardest trainer at the club who constantly puts in for the team. He is a the utmost professional on and off the field.

I suspect he will always have a future at the Panthers long after he retires.
He most certainly is athletically "gifted". Hard work is one thing and he does it in spades by all accounts, but his motor is better than 99% of the players in the NRL. Obviously I have made that stat up, but clearly his motor places him in the elite level of fitness in the competition.

Sort of proof that you can’t always tell what a player is until they’ve had a good stint in first grade. He always looked limited while at the same time we always looked a better team with him there. I do wonder if he could replicate it at another club, I would back him to do so.

Yeah, great player. He seems a bit awkward and aloof, like he doesn't quite fit into the clique at the club. But he just seems so willing as a player. He's the kind of guy you love to see doing well.

There's different cliques within the club tbf.

I think even some of you Penrith fans underestimate how good he truly is. If I could recruit any fullback in the world to recruit to the tigers over the last two years, it would be Dylan Edwards by a great distance.
While I'd prefer Teddy over him for a once off big game, over the course of a season, I'd take Edwards. He has the biggest motor in the game for a fb and gives 8 out of 10 performances every week. He is worth the mil to stay if it comes to that.

Teddy isn't done but he's on the downswing for sure

Not so much now, vastly underrated a season or two ago but he silenced his critics once and for all.

He will be 28 by the start of next season, i think he deserves a significant pay rise but I think a three year extension maximum on say $800K would be fair and reasonable. I’m sure there may be others prepared to pay more but I think 2.4M over the extra 3 years about right.
