Ah but apparently he was the missing ingredient for the past 4 weeks. He's valuable yes, but it's a bigger issue than just one player.
To be fair Sullivan was one of the few highlights and he should never have been in reserve grade. Amone on the other hand makes Corey Norman look like a star. Griffin deserves these results. His team selections have been criminally bad.

The silver lining is the losses are just 'meh' now. How can you really invest in this dumb team? Had we have won that it would have been the same.

I want to avoid the spoon. That's about it for interest in the rest of the season. Not holding out hope this admin will get the coaching situation right.

Problem is, young fans are being lost because they want to be associated with success or at least a bit of excitement. We are neither. That's a worry for the future of the club.

If you didn't know any better you would say some of those players threw that match. Obviously they didn't but gee Sloan had a Barry crocker never really got involved. Amone did he actually play? Some silly mistakes some dumb plays at this stage we look headed for our very 1st wooden spoon

Nailed it. We are irrelevant.

Credit to him for the two tries but he, Amone and Sloan had an hour against the team running last to put on three tries to win us the game. Their set plays were too lateral, often passing straight out to the Feagais on the second or third tackle which lead to hand overs, rather than playing it through the middle and creating the space for those plays.

If these three are the future it isn't looking too bright right now sorry to say.
the young ones didn’t lose this game, they did enough to win, the experienced players like Bird and Suli are letting the team down badly and the coach has butchered any confidence the young ones may have had. Ffs get rid of Griffin and the sun can start to shine again.

When you stop and think about it the only thing holding this club up at the moment is the loose grip on the proud history of St George and the fact that we are the team who those in the large population of the Illawarra are assoicated with.

There's no pride left. There is no relevance or real identity as you put it.

We don't even have a player who you can market the club around. Look at Hunt. He takes it as a privilege to play hooker for QLD but it is a chore when he is asked to do it for us. You tell me where the love of the jersey is?

I hope we stick with Hunt 9 and Sullivan 7. Amone is a real passenger.

Can see it getting results long term.

Maybe Bird to 6, Lomax to lock. Bit we can try.
Bird to reserves until he plays 5 games without giving away critical penalties or losing the ball in attack on the 4th tackle while wrestling with the tackler. Guy is a goose, needs to pull his head in.
