Same team with Bunty in for Lussick and Nukore in for.... I guess Sironen?

But yet... Pompey isn't great.

We've forgotten the injured Jazz. I don't think he's far off returning and he's straight into the 17 when he does.

Every Warriors coach just loves him.

And deservedly so. He's straight in for Sironen, which is harsh because Sironen has done nothing wrong.

Bunty in for Ale, Niukore for Lussick.

I'm prepared to continue to back in Pompey, but he's been below par for a couple of weeks and got absolutely torched by Hynes last night. The try was nice, but he's struggling a bit recently.

Normally a teams defensive coaching staff will figure out teams as the season progresses.
How long before they figure out Walker is the catalyst for our attack? Its almost like clockwork we switch into another gear when he comes on. It wont be long before there will be a game plan to nullify him. Hopefully Webby has a plan B.

at the pointy end of the season he’s still our best option. His ceiling is limited but at his best he’s still the kind of player who can be effective in a Storm/Panthers type system where players have simple, defined roles. Though given we have a bunch of games against low placed sides coming up I’d be tempted to give Ali some more exposure In those.

I see Jazz is ready for full contact again and is just around the corner for returning to the field.

Great news, Dylan Walker needs his partner to do some of that off the bench high speed ruck work, Walker has been carrying the team on his back a lot this year with his running, tackling and of course the passing and masterful attacking read of a Rugby League game is unparalleled for a Warriors forward.

Perhaps we will see Jazz do half a match in Cup like Metcalf did before returning after a long stint out of the game.

Jazz is such a tough and durable guy he won't take long to reach full fitness, literally one or two games off the bench for that guy and he is go go go.

Bunty and Niukore back. Curran drops out of the 17. Lussick stays.

The red head is reffing. He loves a sinbin or 2 so we better look out.

Curran out of the 17 seems harsh, but I love that Webster isn't afraid to run with what he thinks is the best team at any given time.

Andrew Webster is a f**king genius, and I am but a pauper who has played one day of rugby league in my life (in primary school). I have to admit I look at Freddie Lussick's 15 or so minutes and wonder whether that bench spot is better used elsewhere, but I bow to Webster and his far superior knowledge of the bigger picture.

Crazy to think that Curran is just depth now, and that's with Jazz to return (and yes I have no problem with him owning a bench spot).

When fully fit, we actually have healthy surplus in our forwards.
I'd only rate Pompey as a weak spot but even he defends well and that's fine.

Curran dropped does feel harsh, felt he added energy from bench. Lusick is only there for cover if Egan goes down. Curran can't do dummy half, Jazz can if needed, so could Walker I would have thought.
Niukore must be near a last warning with his penalties and sin bins etc and Curran takes his spot?

Sirro and Curran out the 17 with Niukore and Bunty back in

I am surprised that Lussick and Ale stayed in the 17 ahead of Curran and Sirro who provides hooker cover plus can play in other position

I rate and like Curran so disappointed that Webster keeps dropping him

Lussick is 100% cover for Egan. Webster clearly thinks good DH service is key to our gameplan and wants a specialist hooker on the park at all times. Given Wade’s tendency to get head knocks it’s probably the right call.

I reckon we get another year out of this squad before fringe players look elsewhere for starting games. It’s only natural. Depth can ebb and flow. Throw in RTS and CHT and 30 don’t go into 18. We’re stacked with centres and utilities so who’s first to crack and or seek value elsewhere.

Maybe Webster is thinking size matters for this game so Ale/Bunty gets the nod over Curran? Sirro's been playing well, too. But then again, so has everybody in the roles they've been assigned.

I guess Webby knows what he's doing, but it 100% seems weird.

I hope Curran doesn't get itchy feet and seeks a club elsewhere

How good is our depth. Other than Penrith, it is the best in the competition. Really good signs.
