Getting smashed by an under strength Storm should elicit a big response next week, you’d hope. With Dyl back, our left edge defence will be stronger and our attack will be stronger. I haven’t given up hope completely just yet.

Nofa is a much better option than Waqa.
Actually anyone is right now. Nofa when he played for the Storm last yr was outstanding. I watch the Tigers games and he has plenty of mates.
However Waqa shoe be playing reserve for Group 20. He is so far off anywhere near 1st grade it's embarrassing.
If it came down to Nofa v Waqa it's the easiest decision ever.
Don't get me wrong I don't necessarily want him but he's a big yes over Waqa IF there were no other options

There’s no point signing a winger for this year, we’ll end up with another dud stop gap solution like Davey was. Need to focus on next year, extend some of the players we want to keep and push some of their salary into this years cap. We’ll need to be creative if we want a competitive squad when we’re paying someone like Paulo 950k

I thought Davey knackered at one stage and he shouldve out on Moretti and shifted matto whuch he eventually did late in the game.

It was the same with lane last week. He was puffed and wasn't replaced. His premeditated rotations sometimes need to be adjusted and not because of injuries or sin bins

I just listened to the TCT podcast. I’ve never heard them so disappointed. The fact that they, as self confessed glass half full supporters were so disappointed suggests that it truly was a gutless performance.
If fact, 60’s intimated that the year is done and even questioned if we get done by Drags next week. He also said that he thought the team went down thinking they would lose.

Especially when we have Makatoa available and doing nothing else (as in not being selected for first grade, when perfectly capable given RCG is out).

The last 4 weeks the effort overall has been poor. The team, with some exceptions in some games has looked slow and disinterested.
I’m starting to think is there something else going on. Is the group split, has the coach lost the dressing shed etc.

I think it's been a really hard year off field, and wouldn't be surprised if as a team/squad that numerous fractions have developed - we know there has been plenty of potential reasons:

- Matterson taking the suspension instead of the $4K fine
- The poor form of our big off-season dummy half replacement signing (now permanently injured)
- Brown ending up with some bizarrely structured player option deal stretching into infinity
- Moses (or his manager) stringing along a very public re-signing process, not exactly building sqaud confidence or stability
- The impact of usual injuries to key players that all teams are bound to suffer, but which badly exposed our poor depth and recruitment/development failures
- Brown not keeping his head down on bye week, and costing the team seven weeks for his drunken gropes
- Some very dumb on field plays resulting in suspension to key players, again badly exposing our lack of depth
- Continued dumb and rigid bench selections and interchange policy
