Why is perth bid so secretive?!

Nah, they would just revert to form and lie that no- one supported Perth, and they were the only ones that predicted it
I support Perth, but not for entry without a bigger player pool, if they only linked up with a current feeder club now they'd be tossed up for the 19th,
i reckon, but as PR said, they'll rather wait to be there own identity, and not become the jets or bears

Nz warriors
Many people have been against the Warriors since their inception, NZ is much larger than PNG, the Country is also economically stronger but look how long it took the Warriors to settle down.
The Warriors really struggled initially, they couldn’t attract players, altered their logo for superstitious reasons, changed owners and I can’t see a PNG side in a struggling Country being any different just because they are propped up by the Aust Govt.

And now half the nrl playing base is from nz and the islands (yes some from Sydney)

nz have defeated australia a number of times in major finals

the nrl is already international

you would obviously recongnize the playing pool in png could be unlimited

the govt is spending a billion on afl stadia in Tasmania why should our sport miss out ?

population wise png dwarfs nz and we are the only major sport in town

I’m obviously like you and would like to see the Bears link with Perth but the Perth have got to meet them 50/50 and be flexible on their non negotiables or both entities Bears/Perth risk losing out to other bid options.
Imo both the Bears/WA compliment each other and together would easily nab position 19 and possibly 18 (depending on PNG and the Aust Govts’ stance).

Most of those NZ’s are from Australia, sure some are flown over at a young age but most of them are already here.
Another thing there are not 10,000 Justin Olams’ running around in PNG, if there were the PNG Hunters would dominate the QLD Cup every year.

Aussie clubs started looking in nz and scouting kids after the warriors made their first grand final in 02

png haven’t had the pathways but will with an nrl club

every nrl club will benefit

you avoided the benefit to stronger international competition due to a png nrl side

the kumuls will be stronger than ever

as would Perth. Pretty sure you, Pippen and GROTD would disappear for months

.. there's no Perth entry ATM. I'm not against Perth. If twiggy forest funds a team for example, that would be good for NRL. Just handing a licence to any consortium like what happened with the titans would be bad. Location is only one factor.

We all know that, we only need give or take 30 per season realistically (not all in the 1st grade side) you dont think a PNG side could cultivate 30 players out of the 10mil population

I reckon they'll enjoy linking with the Storm this year that the light bulb moment to get a licence will be to BE Melbourne 2, that I keep going on about, mate the bears have tossed up every single location, willing to partner with anyone, "the everywhere bears" the one place the arlc want is another team in city in a 5 mil population, plus a derby with the storm. Its basically a reverse syd swans, without any complaints from a bid partner, or concessions, nothing, just set up shop as you planned to do when you wanted to go central coast, there already a stadium to use, could even move to the new one out west whenever thats ready, people say its gonna be a GWS, well fk'em, they dont know the bears brand, its heritage, i would like to think its more the WSW out here in parra than "the plonk it in blacktown AFL Giants"
