Great to get a win first up, especially in Brisbane.

Lots to fix up before next game.

Cleary may be one of the best halfbacks of all time in the NRL but in Origin he really is Jeff Robson mk2. He has to prove himself in this arena for him to be considered one of the all time greats.
He was trying to be the player of the series and get that monkey of his back

Alot of times Cleary went towards moses then came back in and passed the other way or he ran himself

He did not look to link up to moses at all

Gee it was good seeing Billy Slater look clueless.

I can't see who QLD bring in that can draw 15-20% improvement.

Where NSW still have a gear or two to go up.

Joey was basically baiting Billy to drop DCE post game.

I feel To’o turned away from actually trying to catch it. Bailey didn’t. He was trying to catch the ball the whole time. Regardless, it didn’t make a difference.
Did it look to you that were more NSW fans in there last night or have they given the Blatchey Blues more areas to sit.

Seemed like more blue in the crowd then usual for a Suncorp game.

Penrith dont have a choice this year.

They have to backup

Moses & Lomax both should be fresh having spent period on the sideline this year.

Also the fact the following week for us is a monday game means its a 8 day turnaround. So unless there injured both will play

For those that have to watch the channel 9 coverage, of the League I am sorry. Last night I had to watch the State or Origin via 9 and man did it hurt
1. why did we interview Billy Slater during the first 10 minutes of the game. I mean I know he is on staff at 9 but what can he add 10 minutes in
2. The director needs to be taken out the back and shot. At least on 4 occasions we missed vital plays on the field because he was getting a shot of Slater in the box or player about to come on (Ponga knock on)
3. Spider cam can take a long walk off a short pier. I think just before the Moses break it was hanging around the play getting in the way and from the kick-off I couldn’t tell who was running what way because we had to take spider cams view of the kick off
4. Matthew Thompson. No mate just no, you are not Rabs, did he have $$$ on the hammer making a line break? Every time Hammer got the ball “He hasn’t found any clear space tonight”
5. Stop with the Legend of the QLD comeback, 2 try’s down with 5 minutes to go and still they were banging on about it, QLD didn’t look like scoring all night and somehow they were going to pull off the win.
6. Danika Mason was credited as a sideline reporter all game but I didn’t hear her until 5 minutes to go when she announced the crowd.

Channel 9 no longer have credibility when it comes to RL coverage.

Especially when they parade the great Gus Gould on there Shows, Podcasts and match coverage.

Unfortunately Origin & GFs are under the Anti-siphoning laws i believe so they must be FTA.

Whose the channel 9 bloke that does the Women's origin games. He shits on Thompson.

Your right about the QLD comeback rubbish he said it about 5/6 times and even though they scored NSW were always in control of that match.

Think the dealings of the last week has damaged Goulds credibility and dare we say his minimal likeability in a very big way. Seems his ego has damaged him more than certainly he realises, the less we see and hear from him:the better. Can’t be trusted to tell the truth and everything he does and talks about seems to be with a motive to promote himself and his club.

Channel 9 and his podcast will get a miss while he is on for a lot of fans.

Channel's 9 coverage has been poor for so many years.

I recently watched a whole video of the 1992 series presented by Ken Sutcliffe then you had Sterlo, Fatty, Blocker, Belcher, Big Daz and Rabs. So great and enthusiastic, those guys kept you glued to the television.

Now, you have Johns and Smith that sounds like they dont want to be there. Others just state the blatant obvious or get something wrong.

Dont get me started on the talking to the coach during Origin, it was lame when Freddy was coach and its got worse. Why ask him during play?

Wow that was a largely uneventful and un-origin game.

watching at suncorp as a qlder I was super disappointed with all our forwards bar Tino & Carrigan

whole qld spine was poor, though Munster tried hard.

Nsw did what they had to do, which wasn’t much.

cleary was his usual average at origin level. Moses and Luai were a much stronger combo last year and win by 30 tonight.

Moses starved of the ball a lot, especially in that second half. In the attacking 10-20 there was at least 6 times Moses called for the ball with a numerical overlap and was ignored by the 9, and 2-3 times had space and the numbers and Hudson Young ran rather than passed.

Lomax was brilliant and I think deserved MoM but Haas got it

Moses defense was massive and that 1 on 1 I think it was on Nanai saved a certain try in the first half that could have shifted the entire momentum moment of the game.

of course fox sports played ratings have Moses as the equal lowest/worst of the blues with Leniu but blow smoke up cleary’s ass

Yeah it was one of those games where you asked yourself if something was going to happen, its like a typical club game, no real energy and spark.

Look I'm happy with the NSW win but gee it didnt look pretty. The defence was good, they committed themselves there but looked a bit scrappy in attack. You're right about the Moses and Luai combo last night, we dominated in Melbourne and did well in Game 3. Hopefully it gets better in Perth

Moses wasnt at his best but if they rate Cleary higher then Mitch, they're kidding themselves.

Lomax is a gun and should always be in the team, he's never let the Blues and Eels down.
