True.

But despite the roster disparities, we didn't embarrass ourselves.

Our team is on the rise.
I agree. We were never going to make the 8 after our poor start to the season. In fact, that was a reality check. It's rare for me to see positives out of losses in recent years, but I do now.

One thing about Ryles is I love his interchanging.

As I watch the game, i say, i Reckon it's time for xxx to come on and moments later, he's on.

You've only just noticed this now? Huh?
He's been doing it all season!!!!!!
I think he does it so often that's what is expected and normal. For mine, people praise Iongi but I reckon Riley has contributed and done just as much.

Penrith won on class

But the improvement in defence is there to see.

Defence wins premierships and Ryles has us on the improve in that area.

Which was my 1 KPI for this season

I think everyone can agree that Ryles has done a great job so far, despite our ladder position.

Throw in missing Moses, and Lomax, for a chunk of the season, and our future looks bright.

After the game, I thought just too classy, with their 3 origin players (Cleary, Edwards and Yeo), then thought na shit they have 4 (Teo), and couple mins later went f**k they have 5 (Martin)......Class got us tonight! But we did good....
We had 2 current and 4 former Origin players as well as recent NZ rep player, so it wasn't class that got us.

Moses
Lomax
Hopgood
Ado-Carr
Paulo
Walker
(Brown)

No need to look for a primary hooker anymore, we already have a little gem !!
defo.. i've posted it before, i reckon he is better than when we had Rheed.

We just need to lock him up longer term and I don't think it will be a problem coz he is so determined that if we signed him long term and then loses form, he will agitate the release.

There has been very pleasing signs for weeks now. Not just today. I and many others have been saying this.
Don't downplay our performance against Manly last week. We were understrength as well.
Today's "4 times Premiers" were last on the table and have been generally shite this season. The Panthers just decided that today they were going to put in their best performance of their season defensively and be more disciplined.
Our defensive resolve was far better last week tbh. IMO.

We are most certainly though, a far better unit and playing consistently better RL than I have seen for years.
We are a work in progress, and the signs are very positive.
I absolutely love how within months, Ryles has reformed this team to looking like a genuine NRL team, rather than a bunch of chumps.
I've been saying it for ages too... even before we got Moses back there were signs we were on the improve.

It doesn't happen very often but sometimes shit happens.
Brown should do better. It ain't Moses's fault that Brown has a pretty shit 5th tackle kicking game.
I beg to differ coz if we knew he is shit at it, then why have the backup game plan to do it. If it sometimes happens and he gets the ball where we are attacking, run it.

I actually thought Dyl had a really good game, especially defusing kicks

I like Brown but it has always amazed me that his 5th tackle kick options have always been chips, rather than a higher bomb. His kicks NEVER give our attackers enough time to challenge. It frustrates me that he has never learnt from it.
It's funny because one memory of him I won't ever forget is him chasing his own bomb and taking it to score when we belted the Broncos in 2019.

I was there. That was brilliant, but he was kicking to himself.
When he kicks wide however........

He most certainly played well today. One of his best this season
But we were discussing his 5th tackle kick options, on which I commented. Nothing more, so don't do a Pou on me.
