This is another thing, how many injured merkins did Loz just keep picking and then not managing? Moses game 2, came into camp with a calf problem, which is fine it's fking Origin, but then Loz and staff ignored training plans and he snapped it.

Cleary and To'o obviously injured, Crichton must have been too.

Don't get me started on the Moses injury which NSW made a balls up of.

You cant be playing 5 or 6 blokes struggling to get on the training paddock either that's a third of your team.

Funny enough, that's what I did this year knowing Daley was back.
One of the best decisions ever made.

I wasn't happy when he was appointed, but I figured with the playing ranks available this time vs last time he could afford to keep it simple. Just pick the right team and get them in the right frame of mind to tackle the game ahead of them. Probably be alright.

He isn't alright.

Last night proved once and for all that the coach does make a difference at Origin level. Switch coaches and NSW win by 40.

All the reports coming out of NSW camp spoke about how battered and bruised the players were.

To'o, Haas and Cleary were reportedly touch and go while Moses was ruled out for the entire series after he suffered a setback in camp.

Judging from last night's performance the preparation took it's toll and the Blues were sloppy through out the night.

I hope the press covers this to figure out what exactly was going on behind the scenes.

I haven't been this embarrassed about a NSW performance in a long time.

To come out at home in a game three decider and put in a first half performance like that is disgraceful. completely out enthused. QLD ran harder tackled harder had more intensity in defense and as a result got the bounce of the ball go their way. amazing how that happens in footy. The only two times early in the first half we started to get on top Trell kicks it early in the count after the critter line break and Luia gave away a 7 tackle set with a very poor kick.

i was very dubious on giving Daley another coaching role after the last debacle and he hasn't proven us wrong that's for sure.

That and you have to question the injuries and selections. Yes Cleary was shit but he was clearly not 100% along T'o Critter and Haas. We missed Moses and Barnett.

To get out enthused at home lies squarely with the coach. Gus put it best, you should be building though a series and improving. we got worse, more arrogant more busted and thought we'd shit it in.

nope just pissed me off when I read he said he let himself down.

He is a reverse QLDer, put a dud club player in a QLD jersey and they play like legends.
Put a good club player (cleary) in a NSW (or even an Aus ) jersey and they are average at best

Only caught the first 20 mins before I went out. NSW line speed in defence was nowhere near SOO 1 level. QLD were barely making 25 m in their early sets in SOO 1 compared to around 40m yesterday. NSW went from one out to helter skelter and back again. Looked a bit disjointed. Looking forward to seeing the replay . I did see the Dearden try saver on To’o on the news though and I have to say I’ve never seen To’o knocked off his axis like that before. TV ratings apparently were unbelievable too.

Leniu can break open games in very specific scenarios and 14-0 down after 32 minutes isn't one of them. He needed to come on at 8-0 when things were flat.

The usage of Hudson Young and Connor Watson was even worse.

This is the difference between the two coaches. Carrigan come on after what was 12 minutes which is quite early for an interchange but Slater could sense they needed someone solid when NSW were making good yards.

Daley couldnt sense what was going on until Grant scored that try and then made changes.
