I don't think it's fair to categorise Lane as having an attitude issue. For what it's worth Brent read was stating yesterday that he has 100% retired and it's just not public yet.

When I say "attitude issues", I also include laziness.

Shaun Lane is a terrific player when he gives 100% - but he has a tendency to drift out of games.

I also think a massive contributor to our season this year is also how the judiciary f**k us - Kautoga is out for the year, and Tago's tackle is not even penalised on the field (and he cops a 1 week suspension? Wtf?).

We have had a horrible run with injuries in recent years, and the MRC's reluctance to penalise players from "glamour" teams is total BS.

Tuilagi, Smith, and Penisini copped longer suspensions for nothing.

Dylan Brown is one of the laziest f**ks of a professional footballer there is.

Earlier in the week it was being sold (by Ryles no less) as how selfless Dylan was for this club... but I reckon his choice to stay instead of leave was based on pure laziness and avoiding any pressure to perform - which he'll have in spades next season at $1.3mil and perhaps no Ponga there either.

Look whilst I agree the best option might have been to go now and there is zero pressure as the club are about to sack the coach, lose Ponga and blow the whole joint up but who knows what he has going on. To upend your life and leave 4 months earlier than you planned with all your living arrangements, family arrangements, loads of stuff. I’m settled with kids but with a guaranteed start come November, he is still earning close here for now, I can appreciate why you don’t just want to leave today.
