Kyle tries hard but that's never been enough for any other player in the competition to retain such a crucial position in a team.

Kicks out on the full.
Touch finder finds 3 metres (Burton's finds 50m)
Kicks it to no one in an attacking play.
Kicks it straight to fullback every other time.

I don't miss Ben Hunt one bit but this guy is just as big as a joke.
Time to reinstate Ilias.

Yep ..cant knock his effort in general
BUT he has no kicking game of any quality
that penalty touch finder went sideways akin to a shank ffs
that was the game changer
dogs get two penalties virtually on their line and Burton belts it 47 and 43 metres ffs
Is there anyone in the Club that can kick ??????

His ineptness was further exposed tonight. Not up to being the #7 for this team and dare I say it, cost the Dragons a spot further up the ladder this year. It should've been KF dropped at the beginning of the year and not Ilias.

Gutho's two kicks were better than anything Kyle has offered up all year, all Kyle does is hand the ball of to forwards for an inside run, nothing else.

May as well go back to the Mary playbook and let De Belin play seven as he does the same thing as Kyle for us in attack, only with a better running game 😂

Kyle gets singled out all season tries down his side in defence he keeps back peddling again last week v Bulldogs last 2 minutes.
Dragons have suffered loses all year comes down to the no 7 has to come up with game management and kicking game to seal the deal but not 1 game this season .
Season over and the coach has sacrificed the team season for his son not being dropped.

Kyle is a 14 bench player or a reserve-grade hooker.

His long kicking game is rubbish, he has no speed, and misses a lot of tackles.
Out of 25 players that have played half this year kyle has the 4th best tackling stats 380 tackles for 36 missed 90.5 percent Wishart is best with 94 percent if want more info on stats zero tackle has every players stats for the year 490 of them you might get a surprise at a lot of the actual stats i did

So many shit plays and shit goal kicking from Kyle tonight.

Getting tackled on the last with useless runs.

One thing I miss about Ben Hunt is his ability to run the football on the last after beating a defender, Kyle beats a defender on the last and then holds his position to kick for 5-10 meters before putting in some useless kick. It is the sort of thing you'd expect to see in park footy in your town over the weekend, the fact that his Dad is making sure he continues to play at the highest level is ludicrous.

We deserve much better than this useless father and son ruining our once great club, get them both off our books and the future looks bright.

I get the Kyle bashing. The guy is probably too good for ressies and not good enough for first grade. At a good side he is basically your back up halfback when your first grade halfback is out injured or playing representative games. Has he cost us games, probably yes. Was he the main reason we lost last night or was it Luch trying to steal the ball from Hess on the line instead of putting his body on the line to make the tackle or LKT twice getting burned by Deardon or Sloan going up for a bomb when his centre was already under it and taking himself out of the play or at the short kick off about 5 players standing around while the Cowboys player takes it un-opposed and they spread it to the other side of the field and score in the far corner.

We have too many players that make basic errors and are unable to back up and be consistently good week after week which is what the top teams do.

honestly, our team makes Kyle look worse than he actually is. Yes, he isn't a great 7, but he organises our attack well in the opposition red zone and is a good defender.

its all to do with our line speed. we're giving away far too many meters, without the cattle to drag us up field. Now, we can't change our players bringing us up field, but we can minimise the opposition meters by not waiting for them to come 10m. Our kick chase is diabolical. they just amble up field and the receiver gets a cheap 20-25m. This is partially due to Kyles small boot, but id say more due to the slow, lazy merkins chasing the kick. As a result of both of these were always kicking out of our own 40. there are other pop-gun kicking halves in the comp like kyle, but their teams aren't CONTINUALLY giving up massive meters.

In the red zone ge runs across field.
Then passes to a snail forward.
That's organising.

I always laugh when people throw around the “accept mediocrity” line with footy clubs.
Do people accept mediocrity in other aspects of their life?
Do you live in a mediocre house? Have a mediocre job? Accept a mediocre fitness level and have a mediocre diet etc etc?
But god forbid we accept mediocrity with our football team!
Lol
I'm with you, Crush. I'm just waiting for the day that all these people banging on about mediocrity actually break out of their nursing homes, fire up their mobility scooters, and storm the ramparts of the footy club. I'll be hoping they actually make it - before the men in white catch up to take them away again. Anyone prepared to frame the odds?

I feel exactly the same way- but it’s obviously not the supporters accepting mediocrity. I watched the after match conference and if Flanno still thinks we can make it, he’s very deluded. But that’s what’s wrong- we’ve had this delusion accepted for 15 yrs now with no change. Surely now’s the time to start changing everything and see where we stand. We had it with Corey Norman, Sloan and now with Kyle at No 7. Why not give it to someone else and see how we go. We’ll lose the last few games with the same team selected because “we haven’t got anyone better”. I’m getting so sick of watching these constant losses with no changes. But it’s been 3 coaches in a row doing this- it seems like it’s the “ St George way” now. Keep losing but change nothing. I’ve stopped watching the games on TV now and I dread when we play. I used to so much look forward to watching us but this year in particular watching the same schoolboy errors it’s become a real strain being a Dragons supporter. I see what the Bulldogs have done and I think why isn’t that us- and it’s because we’re stuck in the 60’s and think we’re still No 1- pretty soon we’ll be No 17

Our attack from range has improved
Our last tackle options in the red zone are generally very ordinary… we rarely force dropouts, don’t contest every high kick, get tackled without trying anything.
But our defence is even worse, we don’t go up as a straight line, communicating.. we go up staggered, most times waiting on the back foot.. which as a slower team means gaps are easily found that can’t be closed by JDB, blocker, Klemmer LKT.. it’s really not that hard as players or coaches to execute on a simple game plan. This season is doing my head in.
