No one is saying the trainer should be allowed to run in front of him. I think everyone can agree some kind of punishment or sanction is warranted and perhaps a rule change to prevent it going forward, IE retake the kick or move it in front.

All that being said, The trainer is not the reason Campbell missed, he is just another distraction in a stadium full of distractions. He shouldnt of ran in front, but if JC was distracted or put off he had every opportunity to resent and refocus and take the kick like every other kicker in the nrl would have done, At the end of the day he missed, Nath nailed a much harder one to tie it up and the rest is history,
One of the funniest distraction to a kicker was years ago. Dont remember the kicker but he was from the sideline and a tigers supporter was leaning over the fence yelling out the old catch catch. Lolly legs lolly legs sure he missed the kick and even turned and had a laugh .The tigers supporter was pretty happy with himself

Badger makes blunder after blunder and is only there because she is female .And let’s make it clear a support females being referees at the highest level definitely. But to.o was clear contact to the head in the act of scoring a try had to be and should of been a penalty try.if that was on us everyone would be blowing up deluxe
The decision she had to make was not did Brian hit Sami high, that was never in doubt. It was did the high shot cause Sami's foot to land on the sideline in her opinion. I don't have an opinion on that as my opinion is irrelevant, but hers which was relevant was that it didn't and seems reasonable having looked at it repeatedly. The difference it made in the game was minute anyway, as they scored almost immediately and got the kick. It would have added a minute onto the game, that's all.

I do have an issue with people in the NRL coming out and saying she got this wrong, as the rules say "in the opinion of the referee" so it was her opinion, not anyone else's. I do think she got the Papalii knock on wrong though, but that wasn't a subjective opinion, it was clearly kicked out by a player who hadn't cleared the ruck, and I agree with you that she makes too many errors but she's not alone there.

That wasn't a subjective decision. Sami was knocked out and didn't score because of it. It's a penalty try 11 out of 10 times.

Sorry not a penalty try. His foot was out before he placed the ball down showing he was not knocked out outherwise he would have dropped the ball.
Being knocked has no bearing on a no try it was contact to the head in the act of scoring a try that is the rule meaning a penalty try should have been awarded

Females shouldn't be on field refs as they can't keep up with the play physically......yeah I said it.
I'm sure there are women who could do it. Belinda Sharpe just isn't one of them, and has been promoted way above her ability. Badger too, though you see less of her on the field these days.
