Which is also why Johns was the goat. Had everything that you guys are saying about Cleary & Moses, but a better kicking game than both, add an elite passing game like Sticky, and hit like a truck in defence.

But Cleary is second on the list IMO
What about Galvin?

The biggest question should be. If Moses was coached under Ivan and Nathan was coached under BA who would be the better player? There is no doubt Cleary is superior now. I put it down to coaching but. Moses has had useless coaches.
It's no coincidence Cleary showed his class when surrounded by a team that did everything so well. D and A as well as all the one percenters.
I'd suggest Moses will also look more polished the more Ryles develops our Eels D and A. A second pre season will do wonders for team connections then watch Moses go!
Hopefully Walters dosent change his mind and include Mitch to tour.

Anyone see that DT article about the Punjabi Indian kid who got 315 in Sydney first grade (by the name of Singh). You bitches know that go my brain ticking over.
The Eels should sign him as an ambassador and have him play for our first-grade cricket team (which, by the way, if we don't own we 100% should). He currently plays for Western Suburbs. Parra should sign all the Indian kids that play shield. Anything else we should do in this specific regard?

Agree. Ryles will give him a shot at the title. I'm thinking 27/28 we win it.

That's a matter of execution, not pressure. Being under pressure means trying to execute when the defence is in your face and giving you nothing. When your forwards aren't creating the time and space required to execute.
You really know nothing about rugby league. Fair enough, it’s not for everyone.

Question for the brains trust, how good will Jett Cleary be? Should we bring him home to Western Sydney..? It would make for an interesting storyline.

I’m not shitcanning but would like your thoughts as to why.

I don't think we are far off a Premiership, either.

We beat Brisbane in Brisbane.

We lost to Melbourne by 50 in round 1, and then went close to defeating them later on in the season.

We had a season where players were injured for ages, or simply decided to quit playing, so we had no continuity.

And we still only missed the 8 by a fairly slim margin.

The team is not perfect, but with a few tweaks, I don't see why we wouldn't be a realistic chance at a Premiership in a year, or two.

I think reminding ourselves where the team started and how they finished. Walker had no preseason nor did DeSilva. Our preseason was clogged up with Lane, Matto and Hands etc.
Look at the progression of Gideon, Hopgood, Paulo, Guymer, Smith, Tuivati, Doorey, Russell, Iongi, Papalii etc etc.
JAC had his best season in years. Our Cup team came 3rd with a Ron Massey backline. We had many debut. DeBellin is on his way.
Change and improvement everywhere.
Yep. Mr 85% see the signs and if we look objectively most should also.
We still need further players 2 through 5 but they would be very aware of that.
In Ryles we trust.

I expect us to be in the bottom half of the 8 come finals time next year. We still have a way to go before we're a top 4 contender, imo.

Its the best of the best everything is faster , defense is better

There's no need for mechanical plays and why the panfer system fails for nsw as your teammates are just as good

You need that magical touch like moses, money, walsh, latrell and in yesteryears hayne, kenny, langer

Otherwise you need heart and just perform miracle plays after miracle plays

I reckon parras 2009 style would win a few in origin

Chin is a machine but lacks that individual magic
are you making the case that Moses is a better player/halfback than Cleary?

Yes. See grand final vs Broncos 2023
2 point Field goal vs Parra in 2023
2 point field goal vs Titans this season.
Just off the top of my head
That GF v Broncos is all that needs to be said if you are talking about clutch. Rarely seen a more clear example of a single player putting his whole team on his shoulders as that and it was on the biggest stage there is.
