I missed the GF where Keary won it, so cant comment on where that one sits. For ones I've seen Priddis 03 was next level, pretty much perfection. Walsh wasn't "perfect" as such, but his influence on the result was beyond doubt. Don't think I've ever seen a player have so many big moments in a GF and surprisingly some were without the ball. It was a magnificent performance.

Reece Walsh enters the conversation - very well deserved and some outstanding plays in attack & defence

Still putting Priddis & Keary ahead of Walsh - Walsh should have stopped a couple of tries in the first half, but certainly more than made up for it = easily best CC of this decade so far
Some of his defence was actually terrible, just jogging along watching Melbourne score.
Best ever GF performance WITH the ball though

Can't go past Walsh.

Did Cleary win the CC in 23? maybe still the best 20-25min from a player in a GF.

Cleary's last 20 was the most clutch.

Its not a whole 80 but you don't need to do that to win a football match. He just flicked the switch.

Walsh very good last night. Not sure I can out it above 23 though.

He did save a few as well to be fair. He aimed up in the 2nd half.

The amazing thing for me with Walsh in this run has been how he gets better and better the more responsibility he needs to take on. He's the anti-Hynes.

He still sometimes tries to hard but the more players they lost, the more involved and more dialled in he got and it's been that way through his whole back end of the season

Brent Kite in 2008.

Best player on the field in the best performance by a team in a GF.

I don't remember any specifics but he had to be good.

both pretty even imo

Brisbane win 23 and storm last night both win easy without Cleary or Walsh playing

feel like Nathan shifted the momentum back to Penrith whilst Walsh played off the back of Brisbane swinging it. Walsh did have the match winning defensive play though.

Both 10/10 and the best individual GF performances since Priddis in 03. Thinks that’s still the best 80 min performance I’ve seen. Game was a lot tighter and he set up all 3 of Penrith’s tries. Absolutely brilliant.

If Walsh doesn’t play last night we’d be talking about a boring 20+ point win the Storm. He was that good. Goes above Cleary 23 for me, purely because it was for 80 mins.
Either way it shouldn’t need comparison tbh. Both did something incredibly special on the big day.

we had it to a lesser extent with Paps in 2020, but nothing like what we saw last night!
