Article in the Telegraph that the French Team have been training with the Kangaroos this week

Trent Robinson decided it would be more beneficial for the French to train with Australia rather than play against them. Had they have played, France would have spent the entire game watching Cleary kick conversions, so Robinson was probably right.

Article also mentioned the hierarchy of French League have had meetings with PVL and Abdo.....to be a fly on the wall....

Might be on at that time in hope more viewers from Australia watch live
2001 and 2003 Ashes series were Saturday 6pm kickoffs, back in the days when Sky Sports had exclusive live broadcasting tv rights of RL test matches played in the UK (during 2001-08). So, fans on the east coast of Australia saw those Ashes series live on Ch9 around Sunday 5-7am. Sky Sports always had a preference for Saturday tests to be played in primetime, as it didn't clash with the English Premier League games played in early and mid-afternoon.

Since the 2009 four-nations tournament (when the BBC slowly wrestled their way back into broadcasting RL test matches, televising England vs Australia and France vs Australia during the pool stage), there's been an increase in tests played during the afternoon in the UK.

So, it seems like the crowd milestones to pass are as follows:

57,034 (largest Ashes crowd in England - old Wembley 1994)
66,540 (largest England vs Australia test crowd - old Wembley 1995)
67,545 (largest test crowd at new Wembley (2013), albeit this was a double-header)
70,204 (largest Ashes crowd - SCG 1932)
73,631 (largest test crowd in London - old Wembley 1992)
74,468 (world record RL test crowd - Old Trafford 2013)

Well smash the 57,034 no problem.

not sure about the rest unfortunately. Anything north of 60k is awesome though.

Rugby League: The Kangaroos squad have gone through their paces in enemy territory after arriving in London.
Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has predicted a three-nil Ashes whitewash after his French Test side joined Australia in London to bring down England.

France elected against playing an international against a lower tier nation ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Jamaica next Saturday to instead train with the Kangaroos in Twickenham.
The two nations went through a series of drills and will train together again through an opposed session here in London on Saturday.

France flew to England just to train with Australia.

After the session, the French and Australian players gathered in a circle with some Kangaroos jokingly yelling: “One, two, three…oui oui.”

Robinson, the French sporting director, said: “We have been working hard heading towards the World Cup and could probably have played a Test match against a second or third string nation or organise training against Australia.

“That’s how much respect we have for Australia. We will watch how Australia trains and prepares and talk to them about their skills.

“This is a big experience for the French players to train against Australia. Our leaders went and met Australia’s leaders and had conversations in the team hotel.”

While adamant England would really test Australia, Robinson declared the Kangaroos wouldn’t lose a Test match.

“I think Australia will win three-nil,” Robinson said.

“There is an intensity about the guys and there is enough youth in there to bring some speed and dynamic play. I believe in their quality.

“England will come with a real emotional tilt. They will be proud and it will be a physical contest but I think Australia will outplay them on the back of that.”

Robinson won Coach of the Year while with Catalans.
Robinson won Coach of the Year while with Catalans.
Robinson coached Catalans in 2011 and 2012 and his wife, Sandra, is French-born. The Roosters coach speaks fluent French.

“My involvement with France is professional but it’s also for personal reasons, which I love,” Robinson said.

“It’s important for me, my family and my culture to come back and spend some time in France through rugby league. It’s enjoyable.
“On the field at the moment are the French and Australian sides, so for me that means everything.”

The Kangaroos worked hard in the gym before their field session with the French.

Players ripped into their work as they moved around the gym completing different weights and exercises.

Panthers forward Lindsay Smith will join the team on Saturday after missing the opening three days of the tour after getting married in Sydney.
France will qualify for the 2026 World Cup with a win over Jamaica in Albi.

I didn`t realise Club Wembley was the whole middle tier, I assumed it was a premium part of that middle tier.
Don’t quote me on this but I think when the new Wembley was finished club Wembley members got access to all sporting events but this has now finished and the club Wembley tier is now just the same as the lower&upper bowls open to the general public.

It's actually negotiated on an event by event basis. For example, Club Wembley members still get access to the NFL game at Wembley, a number of England Men's Football matches, FA Cup Final among other things.

When the RFL re-negotiated their Wembley deal for 2017 and beyond, they decided to exclude Club Wembley. Since that point, the Challenge Cup Finals crowds went from being 76K+ for 10 consecutive years, to now hovering around the high 50K-low 60K range.

Not sure what to think about the RFL re-negotiating club Wembley considering the highly unlikely probability of selling anywhere near 90k tickets for the challenge cup final and RL internationals.

Block 126 gone as well.

around half a dozen blocks down to single digits too.

hopefully we’ll get a couple more sections opened up on the upper tier tomorrow.
