Just consider this when mentioning the cap, none of the youngsters are on the NRL cap, so would suggest there is some real wriggle room for 2026.Exactly. Simonsson changed his tune when he was reminded that Lomax wouldn’t be here next year. He is the replacement, and the Lomax money goes toward keeping the youngsters that merkins always whinge about losing.
good on him, he's deadset won the lotto..
he wouldn't be a professional athlete in any other sporting organization in the world let alone the NRL

QLD is an amazing place. As stagger said it's dumb and lazy , broncos and dolphins have so many surplus 3/4 players and we can barely field a decent 3/4 and come mid season with injuries we'll be getting players from Asquith
I just went and had a look at his highlights but he actually seems like quality.I reckon Nanva has gone past Renisini
Agreed, and we know there must be some wiggle room because we just released Lomax. Prior to that I don't think there was much cap space at all, hence the desperation to get rid of Matterson and Simonsson.Just consider this when mentioning the cap, none of the youngsters are on the NRL cap, so would suggest there is some real wriggle room for 2026.
I think some of these might be promotions. Maybe all of them.If we don’t have that, then real questions need to be asked. KK if he is a available its for 2027, so that shouldn’t be in the calculation, needs to be some resolution to signings as there are I believe 4 positions to fill, but 2 before round 1 at a minimum.
I assume the Cowboys want to keep Taulagi for 2026 - it is already December - and any move for him will occur in 2027.Understand Ryles wants a player who fits what he sees as the right fit for the group as an individual as well as a player. The winger Taulagi is of interest, but he is looking at returning to NZ. So wait and see.
He won't have do much. He'll likely debut when Simonsson inevitably gets injured.I just went and had a look at his highlights but he actually seems like quality.
And you guys watching training are saying he is big and strong and fast?
He also came up in an article about future stars.
Could this be kid be a smoky for a debut this year?

Good. We prefer it that way.to stay away from
Good. We prefer it that way.
If he really was saying he was happy to stay then yes but I think that was BS and Ryles knew it so see ya.So in not being able to secure a replacement before Lomax was let go, do you think MON should’ve kept Lomax?
That’s got nothing to do with stats. And that's a great thing about stats. You can use the timeline of events to prove your statement is 100% incorrect and fabricated falsely.
