Nothing from Fitz in the presser.
He was asked by a reporter about the rule and if it’s clear. The reporter said there was one that went the sharks way and then 2 from Mark that appeared to be one handed bat backs.

Fitz said he thought the roosters no try was harsh on them and that he’d need to have a look at the other two in isolation. FMD.

28 nil in the last 40 minutes and 5 seconds tells you everything you need to know about the mentality of this team and why they are not a snowflakes chance of doing anything meaningful in this comp.

Win that game and they are 4 and 2 going into the bye and looking good for top 4. Now mid table mediocrity.

This is why so many of us make comments about this club and certain podcasters shoot us down generally saying we aren’t that club.

We absolutely are the kind of club that is known to do exactly what we did today. We have a history of mental weakness and inability to come back and make a loss into a win.

This is exactly the scars that exists and is deep rooted into us the fans. I didn’t even watch the 2nd half, I knew what was coming. Guess what, I was right.

My general thoughts, probably most have already been covered;

- The game nowadays is really tough to watch - 6 again, 6 again, 6 again, and not a clue why. The dreaded disrupter - it’s diabolical that the rules dictate that the Roosters try was disallowed. It’s even more diabolical that the shit rule is then only applied some of the times. The difference in application game to game and even in game is an abomination
- These bullshit ‘high contact’ decisions on challenges. The Moses one on Monday, the Tricky one and Teddy ones today. Disgraceful. What happened to the rule that a missed high contact penalty could only be given on review if the act was reportable?
- Kennedy again out most dangerous player
- Katoa got caught by Victor F-ing Radley. That’s more embarrassing than the Todd Byrne/Scott Satler one.
- Shitstreet is back again. His effort plays are awful, his contact in both defence and with ball in hand is worse than Tyrell Sloan.
- Iro looks injured to me, not running properly.
- Hynes defence was decent, but attack was dog shit. Looks weak as piss. Looks scared to run at full pace. Neither half takes on the line with any vigour often enough.
- There were a few sets where we rolled up the middle and Brailey took off and we looked good. But for whatever reason, we don’t go back to that well.
- That half time try, I was shouting at the screen in that last 30 seconds ‘hold them down, give away 6 agains…. We are way too dumb to do anything cynical to gain an advantage.

I love watching our forward pack at work, I believe we have a Premiership winning pack.

I may be missing the sarcasm here, but where do you get that impression?
Our pack is bog average.

Toby is our most intimidating middle.
Toby.

Let that sink in.

Well now I didn't watch the game and I was going to come in here and read the match game thread but I happened upon some of the other posted threads so I am not even going to bother to read the earlier pages of this one.

Sanity, peace on earth and good will to all men.

Oh and by the way Emu Park flogged em. Won 76 nil and my my there was speed to burn on the paddock. Won all four grades too. I had a wonderful day at the bush footy.

And most probably not retained at the end of the year.

He’s our second best prop at the moment.

Hazelton looking like an old man no mobility.

Oregon no pop.

Uele NSW Cup player.

We could do far worse than putting Felix Faatili on the bench and fast forward his entry into First Grade. He’s a big powerful enthusiastic prop. That’s what we need coming off the bench.

In Defence of TTF…. he has been pretty good this year. Had a shocker yesterday…was kinda on a par with KL’s effort against the Raiders. Our defence for the main part was pretty good. Try before half-time was a killer and the difference between the teams was our inability to diffuse their short kicking game. Wouldn’t like to know what our record heading into byes is…would be pretty awful id imagine.

Watched the game at a mates house via Kayo. Sharks were poor, Roosters not so. The fact DCE walked out a winner was a burner for me. Nice dye job by the way.

Only bonus with the commentary was they were either perplexed by decisions for and against both sides….or just fell into radio silence or didn’t comment, whilst we were yelling at the idiot box.
I refuse to get upset at performance across the park by the team and officials as the bloke in charge seem to have other ideas about where the game is heading.
If in 5 years, we have a casino or a Canterbury Park style racecourse over the mangroves down Woolooware, I wouldn’t be surprised.
The game in its current state is near impossible to enjoy .

These are the two things that are absolutely killing the game for me at the moment. Forget the stuff that went against us, that disallowed Roosters try was a deadset try. With regard to the drawing penalties from challenges shit, that has to end. It's already getting out of hand.

Yep.

Id like to see them send anyone straight off the field for Dr assessment if they lay down.

And play only stops for a medical stoppage if play may go near them. Creighton hurt his neck in a tackle and was down behind play and stopped which affected out momentum.

Shit refs.
6 agains.
Inconsistent rules.
Opposition players jumping too high.

All excuses.
All piss poor.

You're a professional athlete.
You're well paid - one bloke gets a million a year apparently - to do ONE thing. Win.
Train, prepare, harden up and just do whatever it takes.

They got a 6 again.
Boofarkinghoo.
Its the same for every team.

They jump too high.

Not going to waste time going through the issues at our club.
But just this..

We all saw AFB 2 years ago lining up 10 metres out and his halves lining him up to score.
Again.
And again.
And again.
And again.

Prop of the year.
Million dollars a year.

The player he has become in less than one and half seasons speaks volumes.

He isnt the problem.
He is a symptom of the problem.
