Personally I’d play Tago Right Centre & Alamoti bench.

Cogger will probably fill the spare minutes at 9 but its a journey now with Kenny out. I think at some point a different guy like Scott should get a run. I've also read that Going has played some 9 too.

Young v Jenkins is going to he a great contest. I'll back Jenkins to get a hattrick in this one.

Maybe Kalani playing 9 isn't a thing. He got named there just once in reserve grade back in 2023.

So I'd be looking to playing Scott on the extended bench. Based on the game state we play him or Cogger.

Why would you have Tago as a forward on the bench when we have reggies second rowers that could play that role?

Probably because Tago is an explosive runner and way too good to play Reserve Grade. You saw what he did last night around the ruck against tired forwards. The game is much faster than it used to be, so it could work well.

He is not a prop. Our worst period against the Phins was when Moses and Smith were off. We conceded 3 tries.
Our middles have been getting tired the past 2 weeks. We need a freshen up.
We need the agression of Henry or Patea on our bench. Either to replace Sorro, or to be another middle option.

I would rest more. But for some reason I thought Melbourne is the next game. Last week needs a whole week off in my opinion.
Cleary, Yeo, Bizza, Edwards bench. Moses, Smith, Papalii week off. That would be me but IVAN Won't

Cant be understated how much juice that game would have taken out of both teams.

Wouldnt be shocked if both Penrith and Dolpins lose this week.

When players are wearing icebags on their heads you know its hot.
Phins had the advantage of having the bye the week before.

Brandy has come out and said both teams could be feeling the effects for weeks.

I would look to freshen up the team over the next 2 weeks. Cut game time of players like Yeo. Rest one or two others.
Bring in Henry and Patea too. Maybe Ale deserves a game. Get some first grade into these guys before Origin.

He has had a few niggles I would be resting To'o for this one. Alamoti the following week.

We have competition for spots. Lets not burn our main guys out.

I think that's a real sensible idea. Maybe even bring someone in to give pickles a spell during the game. Milky could fill in at fullback if needed. Start Milky on the wing, and early in the 2nd half do the move. I'd start Pauly A at centre and then move him to wing when Tago comes on,
Pauly A could move to the wing, have tago in at one centre, Casey as the other centre.

Have Cogger on the bench too and give Nathan a spell if possible. Friday night would have taken it out of them. Most of this week would be dedicated to rest and recovery.

The kid is doing well on the wing but he was bloody awful at fullback and he struggles to defend kicks.
Not worth the risk of destroying him and if he did somehow fire it would add 300-400k to the offers he's going to get.

Maybe but Laurie is wasting away in Canberra and he's a good enough fullback to start somewhere. Dragons should be selling gutho on the medical black market and offering Laurie the money.
