Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

That's how many had been sold early this week before the "Sydney sucks at RL support" argument started. You can bet you're ass there's more than 10k sold now.

Remember... Tele + grain of salt.

They have a bigger f*cking stadium to sell! Get off your high horse FFS!

Grand Finals don't sell out until a day or two before, if at all, and they still manage to be within 1-2% of capacity.

A stadium with 30,000 more seats is harder to sell, untill you realise that you are in a city with 3 million more people!

How many times have you got to be told, that argument has absolutely no legs to stand on mate.

It should have been sold out months ago, hell even SOO in Sydney hasn't sold out yet.

look at the Brisbane Lions fan having another pot shot at RL.

at least RL has international football.

or are you counting the upcoming AFL World Cup as a proper event

Who is the Lions fan? Anyone born in Brisbane hates that sh*t more than anything on Earth, the only people who support it are the 5000 Mexican immigrants who move up here each week.

Unlike in Sydney where I see people on this forum supporting the Swans?

A city with 3 million more people with vastly more sporting competition, vastly different nationalities, probably close to a million who don't even like, know of, or support RL!

Your opinion only as far as I'm concerned.

Oh there's that other chestnut - more sporting competition in Sydney!

There is no NRL games on.
The Swans aren't playing till Sunday.
The Waratahs are in South Africa.
Even the Sydney bloody Swifts netball team are in Brisbane that weekend.

But even if all those teams were at home you'd think the so-called home of rugby league would be more important than all those other novelty events for the Sydney public.

So dig a little deeper once again Timmah.

OK, let's move all NRL teams to Brisbane, all rep fixtures too.

Let's make Origin QLD v QLD and City v Country a QRL only fixture.

Get a life.

Id be happy with that. Although we dont need some bullsh*t novelty City/Country "rep" game to chose our Origin side, we're not that stupid. So you can keep that one.

The problem is Timmah you don't have a leg to stand on in trying to defend Sydney's crowd numbers and support compared to Brisbane's in recent years.

Stop making excuses.

It our Centenary season, this is the Centenary Test played at the SCG. For it to be nowhere near sold out is disgraceful. Heads have to roll.
