so, would you say that Stade Gilbert Brutus (where the Catalans play) is a good stadium to watch league at? Which stadium in the NRL do you most liken it to?

oh btw, I went to that French Rugby League website link you posted. Must say that League's popularity in France is slowly increasing back to what it use to be. More than 2,500 members on the website:)

There will be a fair bit of work done on the stadium over the next couple of years, should take its capacity to around 14,000, I have no idea what the stadium could be compared to out here.

And yes, the French forum is growing well, when i started posting there 12-18 months ago, they only had around 1,200 registered users, when you go to other French sites, (union ones) they mention it a fair bit, so it is getting known more.

Is the western end (I think) getting a stand built there. See some construction, whats doing?

Swimming pool definitely and Gym I think.

The irony after Wigan's last visit is that one end is a building site for a new swimming pool. The crowd is a 9,125 sell-out, although the word is that it's nearer to 9,500. But we don't want to upset the local authorities, do we ? The stadium will eventually hold 14,000 with two planned new stands, and Catalans are going to need the extra seats at this rate.

In a post on the international forum our old pal PW offered his opinion on the new SL franchise going to England not France for, he said, the good of RL. The comparision between the USAP and Les Cats crowds earlier in this thread justifies the idea that people like PW - i.e. filthy unionista infidels - are terrified of the rise of RL in RU heartland.

That comparison is truly amazing: 13K v 9K. Wow.

Bring on Toulouse.
