Why focus on the negatives?

Why not start a thread about Manly getting 16000 odd against an out of town team?

Doesn't suit your agenda?
16,000 against an out of town team? Wow!

Don't the Storm, Broncos, knights, Warriors, Cowboys, Titans and Raiders always play out of town teams and usually get bigger crowds than Sydney teams?

11,000 is embarrasing.

Derrr hellloooo! But lets not let the truth get in the way of a good story. The Storm have to compete against 10 other sides who bring in around 6 odd MILLION people in a town where AFL is a religion. Yet in saying that they get more, or close to including the home crowds in Sydney, including the Stains average of teams that have been around near 100 years!

Aren't yourself and others going to look like utter dickheads when the Storm overtake most Sydney's crowd average in an AFL town?

I really think it is about time we ll stopped bagging each other on attendance figures.

Look EVERY club is failing to attract the crowds we want. The Dogs are the biggest draw n Sydney and last year they fell below 10,000 several times when going porly onfield. We ALL struggle and before the Qlders start up it is no better there with Lang usually having thousands of empty seats in a one club League mad city.

The litany of excuses is as long as a wet weekend. Scheduling, form, weather, stadium, uncle Tom Cobley and all but the reality is we simply cannot get people to get off their armchairs and go to games.

I never bag other clubs on poor crowds because there does all of us if we lose a few on the bounce. I'm not an Eel but woud love to see them sell out as I would all clubs.

Yes we should but apparently it's ok for LS to do it but when MS brings some rubuttal back she's 'being negative' blah blah.
11 k is a joke no matter which way you look at it.

Parra's crowds have been fading the past few seasons. Then again, so has their team. Hopefully, for RL's sake, Daniel Anderson can turn Parra into contenders again. We need a strong Parra in the comp. Would also extend Fitzys "We might no survive past 5 years".

Most popular band of 2008 in Australia. Yeah they suck  Get a clue mate

Judged by who?

And their crowd was how big?

If it was AC/DC or a Zeppelin reunion, it might be a valid argument.

When the out of towners quit trying to decimate Sydney we might get over the fact that, with Sydney clubs averaging up near record numbers, there isn't suddenly a need to recreate Odsal in 1954 to survive. Especially with ZERO crowds in Brisbane and Melbourne this weekend.

Ah...I think Fanatique means all clubs not just Sydney clubs.
There are zero crowds because the clubs were away from home :?
When is that ever going to happen in Sydney, f**k seriously do you ever use your brain?

You just don't get it do ya numbnuts.

Parra fans saw their side last weekend, this weekend, and will next weekend, the weekend after and the weekend after that. In fact, of the 26 rounds, Parra fans in Sydney can see their side play live on 20 occasions.

Broncos fans see theirs on 13.

Do the maths. Costing probably $50 per person at the greound, over $1000 extra a season for a bloke and his kid, if you include transport.

That's a plasma.

Think about it. It's a recession. Families have budgets. Yet, not only you twats want to decimate Sydney clubs, but you demand we attend an extra 35% of games to compare to you?

Maybe we whould copy the CPI when it is seasonally ajusted. Ajust each Sydney crowd by 40% - to make up the shortfall that you twats save by not having the opportunity to attend the extra 8 home city games that Sydney siders to to satisfy your stupid arguments.

Ajust Parra's crowd last night, and you get 17000.

Or look another way. 11k v Canberra, plus half of the 21k v Souths, = 20500. Lang Parks attendence last week + this week = 36000 + 0=36 000

Parra's population access (Sydney/9) is about 410 000. Brisbane's is 1.5 million - almost 4 times as big.

Why is 36000 not 4 times as big as 21000?

Let's not embarrass Melbourne in that equasion. 14000 over 2 weeks.

Last night the refs sure did their bit to help with that. Hope they counted Lyons and James in the crowd ... they were the best home supporters of the lot for Parra.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Yet it's totally valid to do this but any legitimate reasoning Storm fans have isn't good enough.
Instead of making excuses for 11,000 how about you do everyone a favour and shut the f**k up about Melbourne.

I never had a go at melbourne you dumb twat! Read the friggin thread again!

What's your excuse for having no Bronco fans seeing their side this weekend? Lazy?

Oh yeah, that's right. Brisbane can't sustain a second team. Spasmodic footy access is all they can handle :lol:

Oh, what about the thread you decided to make about the Storm's 15,000?
The one this thread is directing responding to...
Dumb twat indeed:roll:

Well, I was of the impression that the Broncos were away from home at Auckland....so was the crowd 11,000 over there?

If people want to have a potshot at the Eels crowd last night then this forum is the wrong audience.

Like most of the Sydney-based Eels fans who post on this forum I was there last night. I can't do much more than that - I have no responsibility for anyone other than myself attending.

If you genuinely worry about Parramatta's crowd numbers then fire off a letter to Denis Fitzgerald and the Eels media team and ask them what their doing about promoting both home games and memberships (answer: not a lot) - or perhaps have this rant published in the Parramatta Advertiser.

Hmm?

Yeah that one - where I offered my encouragement to fill up their new ground, and instead got the Paranoid Sydney Haters raving on about basketball and sh*t bands.

No, funnily enough, it equalled the amount of Parra fans that have seen their side in the last fortnight!

And I'd guess you were there last weekend, too. 2 games in a fortnight, as opposed to the one game per fortnight f*cktards like Shorty struggle to budget for!

Wrong.
I'm not a Sydney hater or f**ktard, I'm just sick of seeing your out of touch dribble about Melbourne all over these forums.

You bagged Melbourne less than 2 weeks ago for their crowd and then got egg on your face last night with a pathetic 11,000 k.
One would think you'd learn your lesson but, being DS you'd make yourself look stupid yet again.

Cumberland I have no problem with Parramatta fans - Just the particular idiotic one that likes to bag anyone but Sydney and if someone isn't the same is labeled a 'Sydney hater'.
