Bump!

Pasta has been my meal of choice lately. Ravioli, tortellini, pasta bake etc. Lovin' the stuff.

5 - a hose, an orchy bottle, a pair of scissors and an aluminium can. you'll see.

And after last Wednesday, I'm relatively certain I know what to do with these now! No more wondering!

I can't speak for women, but almost every couple that comes through my register has bought sushi ingredients once or twice. Stir fries seem to be pretty popular too. Spaghetti bolognaise. Any pasta, really.

Something that both looks and tastes appealing. You might love your meat and veg, but in artistic terms - it's the desk-top doodle of cuisine.

ohh you need a bit more variety man. Admittedly now i work full time i can afford to eat better, but i'd get so bored of that. Learn to cook some decent food and the chicks will love you for it.

Exactly mate a great spread will get you laid quicker then look @ ya. Chicks love to be cooked for.

Great way to save time is magi "chunky" sweet corn and chicken soup, before they get there get about 3 cans and wack it on a pot on the stove. I've never failed to get a comment on how great it is lol.

I loved this thread back in the day, and thought I'd resurrect it with a few things I've learned living abroad:

Easy Stir Fry Sauce
When all else fails and I'm down to some chicken breasts and vegies, here's a simple stir fry you can throw together. Prepare as per usual - cut up the chicken and brown it, cut up the vegies and toss them in after.

For a sauce try using two capfuls of soy sauce, two cap fulls of BBQ sauce, and a capful of tomato sauce. I also throw in the tiniest amount of maple syrup (let it caramelise) and some sesame dressing - but that's just for taste. Mix it all up and you've got a surprisingly tasty stir fry.

Chicken Breasts
This is one of my favorite easy meals, and I credit my girlfriend for teaching me.

Take a chicken breast and slice it thin horizontally so it's two thin chicken breasts. In a baking tray, put in two tablespoons of virgin olive oil. Put the chicken breasts in.

Drizzle olive oil on top of the chicken breasts. Garnish with salt and pepper. Turn over. Season with salt and pepper on the other side.

Place some thinly sliced mushrooms on the exposed side. Crumble up some onion rings (the kind you get in the chips aisle) and sprinkle this over the top. Sprinkle liberally with parmesan cheese as well.

Allow to bake for about 10-15 minutes depending on your oven.

Serve it up with a side of garden salad and some bread (and if you have it, some olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping) and some wine, and it's a surprisingly cheap and very tasty way to impress a girl or just have a quick meal.

Also on a slightly differnet note. How can you keep your pad tidy all the time. It always seems to get back into a mess after my brother stays at my place for a weekend.

Wastepaper bins.
You need them in every room, and chuck sh*t in them the second you are finished with it.

My apartment is rarely tidy. I just made sure to start dating a girl who wasn't a clean freak.

Is this not a BACHELOR how to thread? tidyness is not important...if you keep it hygenic and liveable, that is more than enough!!
