We're quite well behaved at my place. Just the one pizza box since bins went out on Friday.

stuff.

I learnt about 15 house moves ago that most 'stuff' is not necessary.

What i do now is i store everything in boxes when i move house. It is important to mark what is in all the boxes clearly.

When i move in, i put everything in the spare room of the house, and i only unpack things when i need them.

I have stuff stored in boxes that i haven't looked in for 20 years - and i find about half my 'stuff' - like pots and pans, video players and cassettes, old text books, my stamp collection from when i was 12, the blanketts i had before i discovered donnas, commodore 64, etc etc etc can all just stay packed up in the spare room forever.

You would be amazed how much stuff you have that you never actually use - and never unpacking it is the way to go.

Speaking of cooking has anybody tried cooking three or more meals at once? Putting 'em onto plates and sticking them in the fridge/freezer. That way when you get home you can just bung it in the microwave.

I got into the habbit while going to TAFE, cuz I wasn't getting home sometimes 'til 7pm and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. I still do it even though I left TAFE 4 years ago. But it means I only have to cook twice a week.

Don't you get sick of eating the same thing 3 or 4 nights in a row? I've got an agreement with my 2 flatmates where we each cook one night of the week each for everyone. So that's Mon, Tues, Wed covered. Thurs I either cook myself something or grab some noodles or sushi on my way home from work. Fri is a liquid dinner of the amber variety, then weekend whatever. I like to cook Sunday nights so i can take leftovers to work for lunch on monday. but saturday is whatever. usually either go out for dinner.

Nah I don't make the same dish each time. Just enough veges for 3 nights. then either snags, rissoles or BBQ chook go on the plate

ohh you need a bit more variety man. Admittedly now i work full time i can afford to eat better, but i'd get so bored of that. Learn to cook some decent food and the chicks will love you for it.

Yeah when I say cook for a few nights at a time, its usually a few different dishes, from stuff whipped up in the wok to the old favourites like snags or rissoles :)

*shakes her head at the way boys eat*

My last cooking effort was on Tuesday. I had friends coming around for dinner and I cooked pappardelle with spicy italian sausage and mixed mushrooms (button, sh*ttake, portobello and oyster). And a salad. I would go to that much effort just for myself.

They're not the only things I have, they're just the staples. I could cook virtually anything and the only teaching I had was watching the old man cook combined with what I learnt in Year 7,8 and 9 cooking classes.

But if you ever make Vindaloo don't put the amount of chilli powder that the recipe says. I did one. BIG mistake.

I think i'd prefer the snags.

So what kind of dishes do chicks dig?
