But there does seem to be a perception that people who attend Uni will saves us all because they're brilliant, whilst those who attend TAFE (or not at all) are dumb-arses who are the lowest common denominators. A laughably ludicrous statement/mindset perhaps, but a valid observation nonetheless.

It is a bit of a generalisation.
But I've got a few mates who fit that role - Studied at uni and continued to work in their part time jobs after finishing their degree.

This whole elitist crap that certain Uni students/graduates go on with is wrong anyway.
They're both very different - And Uni has the whole lifestyle thing attached to it.

Not being able to communicate effectively in english does not = dumb as dog crap. I will say Aussie unis are getting more and more international students as they pay full fees but they are generally smart from my experience.

Didnt they find at an nz uni a disproportionate number of cheaters were Chinese. A cultural clash.

I cant remember exactly it was the majority i think of the cheating w

However, Waikato University reported 143 of a total 222 cases of proven academic misconduct there in 2006 were by Chinese students.

Pakeha students were responsible for 28 cases and Maori 10 of the 222 cases.
