1. Stewart
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Morris
5. Grothe
6. Soward
7. Kimmorley

Yes Grothe (if he keeps playing like he has been recently - he is getting back to the form that saw him touted as the best winger in the game). He has the size, speed and strength that goes well in SOO games, plus who can forget when he put one on Hodges chin. :D

I'd have Stewart at fullback and Hayne on the wing, but give Hayne a roving commission and have him and Stewart swap at parts during the game. I feel that both are match winners, and Hayne is a better winger than Stewart is, but Stewart remains a great fullback.

Soward has to be rewarded for his form, as long as he maintains it next year. The guy is ripping it up.

Kimmorley as long as he is still up to it and performing well, otherwise Mullen.

Players that should be nowhere near the team are Lyon, Barrett and Gidley should be on the bench for his versatility.

Players that should get look ins (depending on their form) IMO, are: Morris, Mortimer, Pearce, Lawerence, Monaghan, Dugan (is he from NSW?), Croker.

You don't actually understand the game of Rugby League do you?
Let's look at the two tries scored down that side of the field in the last game, against your Tigpies.

Both times the try was scored, Reddy was beaten and left Grothe posted with no option but to come in. Grothe isn't the best defensive read in the game, I'll give you that - but to suggest that he is one of the worst defensive wingers is just naive and ignorant. If his center holds his position, Grothe is capable of some good reads, and unlike a lot of wingers - he can really put a shot on with his size and strength.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, wingers defense lives or dies by their inside man. If the center is beaten or drifts too far infield, the winger has no option but to come in, often getting stuck in no-mans land.

As for Grothe not being in good form currently, you're clearly not all there. The guy has been tearing it up with his aggressive runs and really doing some damage.

i would have tahu in the side for experience. a lot of backlines in here have a lot of players with minimal SOO experience. if we learnt anything from game 1 is that you need those old heads to calm and lead the younger guys.

i'd have:

1.stewart
2.hayne
3.jennings
4.morris
5.tahu

Im still undecided on one of the centre spots.

I'd go with:

Hayne
Morris
Jennings
???
Tahu
Mullen/Baz
Kimmorley

Im curious why the general concensus is to put Tahu on the wing when he hasnt played League on the wing since he was at Newcastle. He was also the form center of 2007.

I picked him because he has been there before and never let them down. I was considering Monaghan, and other than that I really can't think of another winger that stands out.

A) Yes, I'm an Eels supporter and I think Hayne is the better fullback at this stage (helps that Stewarts has only played three games this year), but I think Hayne proved that he can have a great impact from wing, while I think Stewart is a fullback or nothing. That said, I'd happily leave Stewart out since he plays for Manly.

B) Morris, Lawrence and Idris may press for selection in the centres, but I wouldn't have two rookie centres (and with only two games, Jennings is still a rookie).

C) If Tahu is half as good as he was in 2007, I say rush him in. If he fizzles, then I'd go back to Cooper for his experience and defence.

Stewart
B Morris
Jennings
Tahu
Hayne
Barrett
Kimmorely

If Barrett and Kimmorely are not the halves than the selectors are deat set idiots and havent learnt anything from this year.
